A BENEFIT SUPPORTING THE NEXT GENERATION OF GREAT DANCE ARTISTS

  • NBS GALA 2014—RAISING $850,000 FOR STUDENT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCEOn February 7, 2014, Canada’s National Ballet School (NBS) invites you to join us at The Carlu for the 2014 Casablanca Gala. Delight in a Casablanca-inspired cocktail reception and succulent gourmet dinner, all culminating in a live ballet performance by NBS’ Professional Ballet Program students, and an after-dinner Casino & Lounge.

Celebrating fifty-four years of passionate and enduring dedication to the advancement of ballet education, in Canada and around the world, we willgather long-time supporters with movers and shakers from the arts and business communities for a fun and memorable event in support of NBS.

The funds raised will directly support gifted students who require financial assistance. Talent is the sole entry criterion into the School’s internationally acclaimed Professional Ballet Program. Each student accepted possessesworld-class potential, determination and passion for a career at the highestlevel of performance, but 85% of families do not have the financial means for their child to attend NBS without financial assistance.

The Casablanca Gala is an exciting opportunity to help provide the criticalfunds needed to support this internationally acclaimed cultural institution. SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AND BENEFITS

  • While NBS is a Canadian leader, it is not immune to the impacts of the global recession.A sizable portion of critical government funding is no longer available to NBS due to program cuts by the province, driven by the poor economy.

While the School has made the operational cuts it can, the keystone philosophy protecting talent as the sole entry criterion is something that must be maintained; to ensure this, we seek the help of committed donors like you.

The need for student financial assistance continues to grow, to the point where nearlyeight out of every ten students now require tuition subsidies to attend NBS.

An integral partnership that increases your organization’s community profile and provides sponsorship in support of talented youth.

Last year Canada’s National Ballet School (NBS) hosted and entertained over 450 individuals, organizations and business leaders from a broad range of industry sectors atour annual Gala. Large credit for the success is due to our leading donors, as well as oursponsors in the financial and corporate sectors, who lent their names to the event andprovided critical funding.

We invite you to join an elite group of companies and visionaries, by offering your supportwhile fostering and strengthening your business relationships through brand exposure, client and/or staff entertainment opportunities and networking. This is a strategic partnership; you will benefit from extended exposure amongst your clients and industrypeers through a list of exclusive benefits and promotional efforts directed toward keystakeholders who support the events annually.

The impacts of support will echo far past the actual event —you will have shared in theSchool’s commitment to help young people achieve their full creative potential and willhave played a pivotal role in fostering widespread arts education opportunities, encouraging improved health and well-being through dance and movement.

Your investment will help champion the cause and actas the catalyst in transforming the lives of youngdance artists for future generations.
