CHOCOLA TE
• A lot of chocolate, Private! Maybe the Navy and the A ir Force are content with just 100 g, but in the Corps we use 200g. If you’re asking why, maybe you ain’t in the right place.
![Page 9: A Brownie for a Sweet Tooth](https://reader034.vdocument.in/reader034/viewer/2022042715/559ce43f1a28ab137a8b45d4/html5/thumbnails/9.jpg)

COGNA C
• Hellyeah, but only a shot, Private! We’re making a dessert here, not a napalm device.
![Page 11: A Brownie for a Sweet Tooth](https://reader034.vdocument.in/reader034/viewer/2022042715/559ce43f1a28ab137a8b45d4/html5/thumbnails/11.jpg)
INS TRUCTIONS
• M ix together the butter, the sugar and the 4 egg yolks. S tir it hard, Private! The mixture is thick as hell.
• A dd the cognac (remember your S ergeant will be watching you, no matter the place) and the chocolate. Have I told you to stop mixing? Then keep moving on!
• A dd the f lour, the milk and the baking powder. I know I said nothing about baking powder, so what? Y ou’re a M arine: Y ou adapt. Y ou improvise. Y ou overcome.
• F inally add the egg whites, previously beaten until they reach ribbon stage.

B EWA RE
• Now listen up: after you have added the egg whites, you’d better be cautious. S tir the mixture carefully, slowly, because we don’t want it to lose its sponginess. Do it wrong, and you’ll get a brick instead of a dessert.
• If your S ergeant gets notice, (and he will, because he’s like God A lmighty) be ready for a great amount of pain.
