A Buffyverse Apocalypse: Chapter ElevenBy RoseFyre
I strongly suggest you read at least Chapter Ten before this one, though it’s not the end of the world if you don’t.
You may notice a couple of changes - I went down to a smaller text size, this time, because I think it looks better andeverything fits better, as well.
Also, there are a few pictures with plumbbobs. I apologize for this, but for some reason, my computer seems to betaking pictures including a tiny bit above where I thought I had ended the picture. I’ve had this problem once before, and fixed it by changing my screen resolution. I don’t think I’ve changed it again, but I’ll check before I play againanyway.
---
And, as always, I don't own Joss Whedon or any characters/places from Buffy/Angel.
On Wednesday morning, before work, Rupert headed out to the family’s new community lot, Restfield Cemetery.
He brought the graves with him and set them up in the new cemetery. He’d have preferred to be able to decoratethem in some way, but such things were still forbidden.
He made sure that everything was set up well, then headed back home. Growing up in a house full of ghosts hadtrained him to avoid graves as much as possible, even in full daylight.
---
As you can see, the cemetery is exactly 8x8, and very stark, since Natural Science restricts plants and Artist restrictsstatues. The graves in the back left are Joss, Eloise, and Liam. In the back right are Buffy, Cordy, and Martin. Inthe front right is Bradford Ford, a.k.a. Random Townie.
He did have another reason for heading straight home: work. While he was swiftly making his way up the ranks ofthe Gamer Career, one day of missed work would get him fired.
As noon approached, and the limousine drove up to pick Kobe up for work, a somewhat expected but still dreadedvisitor also arrived.
“Kobe Whedon, your time is up.”
“Kim isn’t there yet, is she?”
“She is not, but she will be soon.”
“Rats.”
Lynne, who had come downstairs to pay the bills, watched helplessly.
And with that, another grave was left for Rupert to bring to Restfield Cemetery.
That afternoon, Lorne brought home his first A plus.
He also brought home his cousin Charlie.
Though Lorne was a full three days younger than Charlie, who was the same age as his older brother Wesley, theolder boys had no problem including him in their play.
By the end of the day, all three boys were fast friends.
When Rupert got home from work, he greeted the headmaster, BJ Ryan, who was there to see if Wesley and Lornewere suitable for the new Hemery Elementary School.
And he found that they were.
In fact, he was so impressed with all three boys that he immediately invited Charlie to become a student, as well. When Anya came by to pick him up, she gladly accepted the offer.
“Glad the boys got into Hemery?”
“Oh yes. When Marisa told me that her girls had gotten into the high school, well…”
“Jealous?”
“A bit, but they didn’t have an elementary school then, and the boys certainly aren’t old enough for the high school.”
“Well, they’re in, now, and Headmaster Ryan said that acceptance to the high school is guaranteed as long as theirgrades stay good.”
“Yes,” Lynne said happily as she pulled her husband in for a kiss.
That kiss was interrupted by shooting pains in her abdomen, and she hastily pushed Rupert away.
“Lynne? Is something wrong?”
“I’m having the baby, you idiot!”
“Oh,” Rupert said calmly. Then he started freaking out. “What should I do?”
“Just stand there and be ready to catch!”
Rupert did just stand there as Lynne gave birth to Tara Maclay Whedon.
And he did catch her when Lynne handed her over.
As Rupert cooed at his baby daughter, Lynne started screaming again.
“Lynne? What’s wrong?”
“I think there’s another one, and it’s ready to come out!”
She was right. Barely five minutes after Tara was born, Lilah Morgan Whedon made her appearance in the world.
“This had better be it,” Lynne muttered to her daughter as she held her up. When no more contractions came, shebreathed a sigh of relief.
“I don’t think I’m hungry anymore,” Lorne said. He put his plate of pork chops back on the table.
“Me either,” Wesley agreed, following suit. “Bed?”
“Sure. Anywhere that’s not here.”
“Yes.”
The next morning, the boys started Hemery, and Rupert and Lynne found that twins were significantly harder thansingletons.
In addition, there were fewer adults in the house.
Lynne often found herself calling for Will or Fred to come help until she remembered that they’d both moved out onTuesday.
“How’s Tara?”
“She’s about ready to be put down for a nap, I think. What about Lilah?”
“Same, which is good, since I have to be at work in halfan hour.”
“I’m off today, but I’m on tomorrow.”
“I’m off then.”
“Cool. I think I’ll go take a nap myself once the girls aredown.”
“Have a good time.”
“You have a good time at work!”
“Will do.”
Over at Xander’s, Armando took some Elixir, in order to be closer in age to his wife.
---
Yes, he took it while in the green in order to become older. He took either two or three shots, I don’t rememberwhich, but it brought him to about a week younger than Fred, due to the two weeks she’d spent in the main houselifting Medical.
And Fred discovered that her one woohoo had left her pregnant.
Fred also found a job as an Investigative Journalist, only two levels from Media Magnate, her Lifetime Want.
It took only one day of work for her to get a promotion.
And to pop into maternity clothes.
“What is going on with my hair?!” she screeched as she realized what she looked like.
“Um, it happens when you get pregnant,” I said hesitantly.
“Change it back!”
“I can’t. But if you wear your pajamas, it should go back to normal…”
She glared in my general direction. “Fine. If that’s what it takes.”
And for the rest of her pregnancy, Fred refused to wear anything other than her pajamas.
She also wasn’t enthusiastic about the way everyone talked to her stomach rather than her face, but she learned tolive with it.
Meanwhile, Joyce reached the top of the teen Law career.
And Armando found a job in his Lifetime Want field - Law Enforcement. He started at a low level, as most of his skillshad been directed toward his old job as a Theorist, but he had no problem with taking a while to reach the top. Heknew he would make it eventually.
“Xander, dear?”
“Yes, Marisa?”
“I’m four days from Elder.”
“I know - I’m two days away myself.”
She rolled her eyes. “Yes, but that also means that I’m too old to get pregnant.”
He turned to her. “Fred invented birth control, you know.”
“But now we don’t have to use it.” He thought about that for a second, then started kissing her.
On Friday afternoon, Fred came home with a promotion to Media Magnate, and a fulfilled Lifetime Want.
Meanwhile, Will settled into life at Willow and Anya’s. As a Cult Leader, he often worked nights, and thus foundhimself going to bed as the sun was rising.
He also got to experience the joys of childbirth once more.
“You know,” Anya puffed, “everyone in this house is useless. None of them have any experience with this sort ofthing.”
“Can we help?” Will and Lester chorused from the other side of the bed as they threw their hands up in unison.Willow, meanwhile, was avoiding the room.
“No!” Anya yelled.
And, without interference (or help, for that matter), she gave birth to a healthy baby boy, who was promptly namedDaniel Osbourne Whedon.
As Anya and Lester fussed over the new baby, Will and Willow decided to get out of the house.
Willow did what she does best - to unfortunately predictable results.
And Will began his quest for 50 first dates.
---
Yes, dating is restricted by Show Business. But Will no longer lives on the main lot, so I am cheating him thosedates. Besides, the dating itself is the only part that’s still restricted, since he ran into the Matchmaker at The Bronze(phone calls are still only allowed on Tuesday afternoons) and Business and Medical are lifted, so the Matchmaker canbe called for love potion and vamprocillin, just not dates or outings.
I decided not to care, and am letting Will get his dates.
On Thursday, Kim followed Kobe into death.
“At least I lived longer than that fleaball! Ha!”
Though no one was there to watch Kim die, everyone felt it, including the newly-nicknamed Danny.
In order to deal with the uneasy feelings of death, Will found himself spending lots of time with the newborn.
He spent so much time with Danny that he managed to set his pancakes on fire.
Luckily, Lester is a pro with the extinguisher.
“What are you doing with the litter box?”
“Cleaning it. Kim left it dirty.”
“But she doesn’t need to use it anymore.”
“Still, it needs cleaning.” Willow pointedly avoided looking at the gravestone off in the distance.
“Hi, I’m Charlie. Who are you?”
“I’m your Uncle Xander. Your mother’s brother.”
“Oh. Nice to meet you. Why’d you come over?”
“Oh, I just wanted to stalk your little brother.”
---
If I had FT? Xander would totally have a secondary aspiration of Family. No doubt about it. Not only does he walkby as soon as someone is born in order to hold them, he also was holding Fred’s child in the opening screen for theirhousehold, both when the child was a baby and a toddler, rather than Fred or Armando, who are, you know, theparents.
Early Friday morning Anya and Lester lay in bed together. They’d both woken up early, in order to deal with Danny, who’d been screaming in the next room.
“So, I was wondering,” Anya began.
“Yes?”
“Where did Danny get red hair from?”
“W-what do you mean?”
“You’ve got black hair. I’ve got black hair, and so did Dad. Mom had brown hair. She told me once that her motherwas blond, so that explains Charlie, but not Danny’s red.”
“Well, I, um, I d-dye my hair.”
“You do?”
“It’s, it’s actually red.”
“Huh. Why not just wear a hat?”
“I’ve always d-dyed it.”
“Weird, but cool.”
As the sun rose, Lester pulled Anya over and kissed her. “Th-thank you for, for not caring.”
“Why would I care?”
He shrugged uncomfortably. “People have.”
“Well, I don’t.” They kissed. “Um, Lester, I’m not ready for another kid yet, if ever.”
“Didn’t your, your sister invent b-birth control?”
Anya smiled slowly. “That she did.”
“We're sorry, this line is busy. Please try calling back later.” Lorne glared at the phone, then hung it up.
“Lorne, you know the phones don’t work.”
Lorne looked up at his mother. “I was trying to call Charlie.”
“Why?”
“Well, it’s Wesley’s birthday, and I thought he might want to come.”
“That’s sweet of you, but you’ll have to wait for Tuesday. Or maybe you’ll see Charlie in school.”
“I tried to call Charlie earlier.”
“Why?”
“Well, it’s your-”
“Whoa,” Wesley said, as he felt the sparkles.
“Birthday.”
Wesley wasn’t the only one with a birthday that evening.
Tara became a toddler.
And so did Lilah.
Both girls were immediately set to playing with the rabbit heads, as Lynne and Rupert needed to sleep and the boysneeded to skill.
Even if Lorne had been able to reach Charlie, he probably wouldn’t have been able to come - since it was his birthday, too. He grew up well, picking Fortune as his aspiration, with a Lifetime Want of becoming The Law.
When he was grown up, he headed downstairs,
as it was Danny’s birthday too.
Due to Anya’s permaplat status, Danny got Smart Milk immediately, and potty training was finished very quickly.
However, it wasn’t only toddlerings and teenings that were happening.
After many days of Elixir, the first member of Generation 3 had finally become an Elder.
“How do I look?”
“Perfect.”
“The truth, Ris?”
“You’ll always be perfect to me.”
“Even though I’m old?”
“Even more because you’re old.”
“Thanks.”
And, as the impromptu party went on around them, Xander and Marisa danced.
The birthday party was interrupted, however, by a birth day.
“I am only doing this once!” Fred moaned. “It is way too painful.”
“Just twirl, Fred!” Marisa told her.
Armando held his hand over his heart. “I didn’t realize it would hurt this much!”
Fred screamed. “This is all your fault! We’re never woohooing again!”
“Don’t worry,” Marisa whispered to Armando, “I said the same thing to Xander when I had Dawn. We definitelywoohooed again.”
“That’s…good,” Armando whispered back as Fred screamed again.
“Ooh, you are cute, aren’t you?” Fred asked her newborn daughter rhetorically. “Yes you are.”
The baby gurgled and flailed her arms.
“What do you want to name her, honey?”
“Uh, it’s your choice,” Armando answered, a bit shocked that Fred no longer sounded hostile. “You did all the work.”
“True. I think we’ll call you Harmony. Harmony Kendall Whedon.”
While everyone on The Hellmouth watched birthdays, Dawn found that UC Sunnydale was a pretty fun place to be.
Even the classes and the skilling weren’t too bad.
She’d picked Art as her major, as she wanted to be a Journalist, and the classes were supposed to be good for it.
“So, where are you headed?”
“Class.”
“In your nightgown?”
“Why not?”
“Did you get that nightgown from your Aunt Fred? Because I am having major flashbacks here.”
Dawn laughed. “Actually, yes.”
I sighed. “Of course.”
Dawn did have one problem with college, and that was the lack of other people. Oh, other students walked byoccasionally, but she’d grown up in a house with her parents and younger sister, and had never really lived alone. She wasn’t used to having to be alone, and she didn’t like it.
Consequently, when the phones worked, she immediately called up her family and invited them over.
---
By the way? I am much happier with Xander’s Elder outfit than his Adult one.
“So I hit the top of the Law career.”
“Cool.”
“And I’m skilling, and all that stuff, and soon I’ll be ready to join you!”
“How soon?”
“Well, not for another two years, but…”
“It’ll be good to have you here, sis.”
Joyce was clearly worried about college, because, whenever she could get a line out, she called Dawn and askedabout it.
“So the professors don’t notice if you skip class?”
“As long as you’re doing well otherwise, yeah, they don’t care.”
“Oh. I’m not going to skip class.”
“I’d be shocked if you did.”
----
Joyce phone-stalked Dawn throughout college. At least it meant keeping their relationship up was easy.
Dawn’s first year at college generally went well, though it really wasn’t all that exciting.
“You know, this is disturbingly like home.”
“What do you mean?”
“The tub is always breaking, and I have to fix it.”
“Well, you can’t afford a repairman.”
“Can’t call one anyway.”
On Saturday, once the toddlers had been put to sleep, Rupert came downstairs and made cereal while Lynneshowered and got ready for work.
“Have a good shower?”
“I did. It’s so refreshing to be able to take one.”
“I know exactly what you mean.”
Lynne took a bite of her cereal. “So what are your plans for today?”
“Well,” Rupert said, “I’ve got work at two.”
“But you said you didn’t have work today!”
“I got promoted.”
“Rupert, I have work today.”
“I’m one promotion from topping Gamer. I can’t afford to get fired.”
“And I’m one promotion from reaching my Lifetime Want. I’m not quitting. Not now.”
“But the restrictions…”
“Well, I end at three and you start at two. You’ll just have to go in late,” Lynne said decisively.
“It’ll take longer.”
“I’m not quitting now! Not when I’m this close!”
“Lynne…”
“No. I’m not.”
“But the laws, if I miss work, I could get fired.”
“That’s only if you miss the whole day, not if you go in late.”
“I still don’t want to.”
“You don’t have a choice.”
“I am not happy about this idea.”
“Then call a nanny.”
“I can’t, because the phones aren’t working, and I need to fix them!”
“Hi Mom, hi Dad,” Wesley said as he came downstairs and grabbed a bowl.
His parents exchanged a glance. “Wesley,” Rupertbegan.
“Yeah?”
“Your mother and I both have to work today. You’re ateen now, old enough to be responsible.”
“Um, yeah. Why?”
“Well,” Lynne said, “we were hoping you could watchyour brother and sisters for a couple of hours while we’reboth at work.”
“How long?”
“Just two hours, from one to three - your father’s carpoolcomes at one and I should be back at three.”
Wesley took a moment to consider, watching thepleading looks on his parents’ faces. Then he laughed.“Sure. I like the kids. Watching them for a couple ofhours won’t be a problem.”
Rupert breathed a sigh of relief. “Thank you.”
“No problem, Dad.”
“Well,” Rupert said, “now that that’s solved, I’m going to grab a shower.”
Lynne checked the clock. “I’ve got to get going myself.” She quickly ate her cereal, then headed for work.
Wesley did end up taking care of his sisters while his parents were at work and Lorne studied Cooking.
As he put them down for their afternoon nap, he noticed their matching Christmas pajamas. He found them a bittacky; I found them incredibly cute.
When Lynne came home, it was with that last promotion to Hall of Famer. She’d achieved her Lifetime Want.
And when Rupert returned, late that night, he was a Game Designer, lifting all restrictions on the phones andcomputers.
“Wasn’t getting Wesley to watch the kids a good idea?”
“Definitely. So good that I think someone deserves a reward.”
“And who is that lucky someone?”
“Well, he’s a Game Designer, but that’s not his most important feature.”
“Oh?”
“He’s also a good husband.”
Lynne giggled as Wesley pressed her into the bed - just as she wanted him to.
When the woohoo was over, the toddler training began.
Lilah was the first to learn a skill, as Lynne taught her how to use the potty.
But Tara wasn’t far behind.
And Lynne soon taught Lilah to walk, as well.
Meanwhile, the boys skilled.
“Yes, I am fit!”
“Is there a reason to be excited about that?”
“Well, girls like fit guys, right?”
“Um, right.”
“Because that Ivy Copur is hot.”
I chuckled a bit. “Good to know.”
Rupert and Lynne continued to try for another baby, now that they were both at the top of their careers.
It took five tries over two days, but on Sunday evening we finally heard the lullaby.
After they were finished and Rupert was sleeping, Lynne headed out to a new store in town, the Magic Box.
It was a fairly small store that sold only one thing: cats.
Lynne bought one, a plain black cat with green eyes.
She was promptly named Miss Kitty Fantastico.
“This tower smells of other cats.”
“It used to belong to some.”
Miss Kitty sniffed. “I am queen now.”
“Uh, right. Good to know.”
During his day off, Rupert began teaching Miss Kitty the commands she would need to learn before getting a job. Hedecided not to get her the job until she knew her commands and could quickly get promotions.
---
Chance cards seem to happen less often when you spend a shorter time at each level and are ready to be promotedimmediately, so I decided to wait on getting her the job. Security isn’t super-important, anyway.
Lynne was the primary caretaker of the twins, as she worked fewer days than Rupert did. The boys, of course, hadschool.
Therefore, as no one rolled up the want, she was the one to teach Tara to walk.
She did, however, take frequent breaks to use the Energizer, as her needs fell just as quickly with this pregnancy asthey had with her last three.
Consequently, the girls spent a lot of time playing with their bunnies.
“Talk!” Tara yelled, shaking hers a bit.
“Bash,” Lilah grinned.
Tara looked at her, grinned herself, and hit the bunny head. It made a staticky noise, so she bashed it into the flooras her sister was doing.
On Monday afternoon, after getting home from school, Lorne realized that it was time to stop being a child.
And he grew up into a very attractive teenager.
A few hours later, Lynne bumped into her second trimester.
She quickly realized that, with the way her needs were dropping, there was no way she could continue to be a Hall ofFamer. In addition, both she and Rupert had work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and he still neededmoney for his Lifetime Want.
She’d gotten hers. Now she could be gracious.
She considered hiring a nanny, but she’d heard horror stories, and didn’t want to put her babies at the mercy of oneof those horrible old women. She briefly considered having one of the boys baby-sit, but they both had school, andthat was more important.
Therefore, she called to quit her job.
On Monday night, while the rest of the house slept, Lynne used the Energizer and taught the girls how to talk.
Even when they were reluctant to learn.
Still, she was successful, and she put the twins to bed just in time for the sun to rise, then grabbed a nap herself.
Across the desert, people were very happy to know that the phones were working again.
“Yes, I know it’s Saturday. But the phones are working, Dawnie! They’re working!”
“What’s up, Dad?”
“The phones are working, Joycie!”
“That’s great.”
“Yes, I’m talking to your sister. Come over, please, we’d love to have you. You will? Good!”
Dawn did come over, and ended up feeding her baby cousin Harmony a bottle.
She also tried, once more, to reassure Joyce that college really wasn’t all that scary.
“Do I have to choose a major immediately?”
“No, no you don’t. I did, but I know that I want to be a Journalist. You don’t know what you want to do, right?”
“Well, I want to learn everything about everything, but after that, no.”
“Don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of time to decide.”
“Good.”
Even though everyone helped, Xander was the primary caretaker for Harmony. Marisa, Armando, and Fred allworked during the day, while Joyce had school and work. As a Professional Party Guest, he only worked nights, andnot very often, which left him the daytime free to watch his niece.
Joyce also spent a lot of time maxing each skill, one by one, working towards her Lifetime Want.
And Marisa grew old, into much worse clothing than her husband.
Xander certainly didn’t mind, though.
While the rest of the family took advantage of the phones working to invite over lots of friends, Armando spent muchof his time working on his body skill - a necessity if he ever wanted to be Captain Hero.
On Tuesday evening, Harmony became a toddler with her mother’s coloring, but a lot of her father’s features.
---
By the way, did you know that every single Adult member of the Garden Club dyes their hair? Yeah. Armando Cox isa natural redhead, of all things, which is why Harmony got her mother’s brown hair. I was shocked when I checkedher recessives.
Xander immediately started teaching Harmony to talk, despite the fact that she clearly wasn’t enthusiastic aboutlearning.
However, she did eventually learn.
While Danny always asked to be read to, and Anya really didn’t mind reading to him, she did find it awkward whenone of her sister’s lovers was sitting behind her and one of her brother’s dates (who still hadn’t left the house threedays later) was standing and watching them.
And, of course, neither of her siblings were home to get them out of the way.
Will and Willow had, yet again, gone to The Bronze, hunting for dates and woohoos.
It was a very successful trip.
Well, except for Mrs. Crumplebottom, who was an interfering busybody.
And the various times that Willow was caught cheating on one of her lovers with another one.
Ultimately, though, it was successful. Will got quite a number of dates, even without the help of the Matchmaker.
And Willow had her 20th woohoo and achieved permaplatness.
Her partner? Er, that would be me.
---
Yes, I did the semi-cheaty repeating of public and private woohoos to get Willow to 20. Hey, it worked, and it’s anacceptable loophole!
At this point, I took a glance at Willow’s second LTW and laughed. You know why? My game has a thing for certainLTWs. Not only have I had three sims recently who wanted to be Media Magnates (Fred, Lester, Dawn), I now havethree sims, who, for their second LTW, want to be Celebrity Chefs - Xander, Fred, and Willow. Which is every singlesim who could possibly have it as a second LTW. If Will rolls it as well after he gets his 50 first dates, I will not beable to contain myself.
When they got home, Will called the Matchmaker again.
He was only at seven dates, and he wanted 50. Preferably before he became an Elder, thank you very much.
Therefore, he had a number of pay-as-little-as-you-can-and-say-goodbye-immediately dates.
When his needs got low, he treated himself to a better date, either by paying the full $5000 or by calling Goopy andinviting him over.
As it was the weekend, much time was spent skilling. Charlie worked on his body skill, so that he could get a job(which he desperately wanted), while Lester worked on creativity, so that he could advance in the Journalism Career.
As the only one with the want, Anya taught Danny how to walk.
Will continued to have his dates, some of which went very badly - Professor I-forget-his-name, here, got to see Willgetting caught cheating by Benjamin Long, and left a bag of flaming poo as a present.
Eventually, Charlie did max his body skill, allowing him to leave the house for reasons other than school.
“Can I get down now? Holding this thing up between my ankles like this is very uncomfortable.”
He immediately headed out to The Bronze, where he ran into his cousin Wesley.
“Hey, Wes, what’s up?”
“Not much. Lots of studying.”
“Bummer.”
Wesley shrugged. “I don’t actually mind it much.”
Charlie laughed. “Yeah, it kind of sucks, but it’s worth it in the end.”
The boys then took a picture together, which Charlie put away to hang on his wall when he got home.
“How’s your brother?”
“He’s good. Learning to walk and all that. What about yours? And your sisters?”
“Good, good. Mom’s teaching the girls their skills, and Lorne just became a teen.”
“He should join us sometime. We can sneak out.”
“I don’t know if that’s such a good idea.”
Charlie shrugged. “Whatever.”
“I’ve got to go, but it was great to see you.”
“You too, man. Call me?”
“Will do.”
Charlie then headed downstairs and bought the most important necessity of any teen’s life: a cell phone.
When he got home, he found that his old friend Sophie Miguel was waiting for him.
“You’ve gotten older.”
“Yeah.”
“And hotter,” she added, as she pulled him in for a kiss.
“Well, you look much better than you did when I was a kid,” he said.
“Thanks.”
“Go steady with me?”
“Sure!”
They kissed a bit more. After a few minutes, Charlie pulled away. “I’d love to continue this, but I really want a job.”
Sophie nodded. “I totally understand that. Go ahead, get one, then come back down here.”
Charlie grinned. “Will do.”
Charlie did head upstairs, and he got a job in Military.
He then headed back downstairs to kiss Sophie some more.
The next day, Will had even more quick dates.
And, even though he had school, Charlie had a day off from work, so he took some time to help watch his littlebrother, who found him highly entertaining.
“Can you say Charlie?”
“Tarlie.”
“Close enough, kiddo.”
“Tarlie wead Danny?”
“Sure thing.”
After Charlie read three stories, he picked his brother up.
“And now it is time for all good little elves to be in bed?”
“Elve?”
“Elf, actually. But yeah, you’re one of Santa’s elves in that outfit.”
“Santa!” Danny giggled a bit as Charlie tickled him and put him to sleep.
Charlie leaned down to tuck his brother in. “Sweet dreams, kiddo.”
Her freshman year had gone well, and now that the phones were working, Dawn’s sophomore year was going evenbetter.
However, just because she could call her friends didn’t mean that Dawn avoided the walkbys. Or the llamas.
“So, you haven’t chosen a major yet?”
“Nah,” Boyd Griffith said, “I’m thinking about Art, though.”
“That’s my major!”
“Cool.”
“I’m not wedded to anything, though. Maybe Psychology, or Biology, or something.”
“Well, I enjoy Art,” Dawn said. “Lots to paint, and sculpt, and not much writing required.”
Boyd nodded. “That’s a good thing.”
“My sister wouldn’t agree, but, hey, I’m not my sister.”
Unfortunately, their conversation was interrupted by the dreaded cow, enemy of all llamas everywhere. Naturally,Boyd was honor-bound to fight him.
Dawn watched, worried for her new friend, but uncertain what to do.
Luckily, Boyd emerged victorious.
“I was really worried when you were fighting that cow.”
“Oh, there was no need to worry.”
Dawn shrugged. “I did anyway. But you were great.”
“Thanks.”
She took his hand. “No, really. I mean it.”
Elated by Boyd’s victory, the pair danced late into the night.
And, as Dawn returned to the house to go to bed, Boyd realized that he was in love.
“So, why’d you invite me over?”
“Well, I forgot to pay my taxes for the last two semesters, but I remembered now!”
I looked at Dawn. “It’s a good thing you did remember, and it’s a good thing I’m your contact. I’m much moreforgiving than most of the mob.”
“Cause you don’t actually want to work there, right?”
“Right.”
The year went on. Dawn continued to attend classes - and finals - in her nightgown on days she hadn’t yetshowered.
She also greeted walkbys, often becoming fast friends with them.
And she invited her family over whenever she could.
She also found herself back at The Bronze, working as a barista.
“Why am I here?”
“Because you need money.”
“Not really…”
“You want a hot tub, right?”
“Right.”
“Then you need money.”
After earning almost $2000, Dawn finally stopped serving coffee. “Hey, Boyd, it’s me. Yeah, I’m at The Bronze. No,in Los Angeles. Want to come over? Cool, I’ll be here.”
When Boyd arrived, Dawn pulled him into the photobooth for a photo of the two of them together.
Afterwards, they danced together.
“Boyd, I think I love you.”
“You do?”
Dawn hesitated for a moment. “Yeah.”
“Cause I think I love you too.”
“Good.”
“Then you won’t be surprised if I ask you to marry me?”
“You’re asking-”
Dawn nodded. “Boyd Griffith, will you marry me?”
“Yes!”
The engaged couple caressed each other’s faces.
“You know, I really want to see what you look like under that mask.”
“You asked me to marry you without knowing what I look like, didn’t you?”
“I did. It doesn’t matter. But, you know, I’d like to be able to recognize my fiancé without his llama suit.”
“…Yeah, that works.”
“There’s a hot tub upstairs…”
“Lead the way.”
“Well,” Dawn said, after they were both in the hot tub, “I think you’re very attractive. Then again, I’m biased.”
Boyd laughed a bit. Thanks.”
“What’s with the not wearing a bathing suit, anyway?”
Boyd shrugged. “I don’t feel the need to wear one.”
Dawn laughed. “Just my kind of guy. Now come here, mister.”
She pulled him into a kiss.
Then into their first woohoo.
After, they cuddled in the hot tub.
The next night, Dawn invited a whole bunch of her relatives over.
“So you’re my cousin Charlie.”
“And you’re my cousin Dawn.”
“I hear you’re going to be living here in a while?”
“Yeah, around the time you graduate, I think.”
“Cool. It’s good to meet you, anyway.”
Dawn then invited as much of the family as she could gather into a water balloon fight.
Though some couples were otherwise engaged.
“Have a good time?”
“Yeah, but I need to get home. I’ve got school in the morning. I think I’m gonna enjoy college, though.”
Back at home, life continued. Miss Kitty Fantastico learned her skills and the proper way to act.
Wesley and Lorne did their homework.
And Lilah maxed her Charisma skill.
Finally, on Tuesday night, it was time for the twins to grow up.
As the older twin, Tara naturally went first.
Though Lilah wasn’t far behind.
However, she was feeling dirty, so she took a shower and changed into her everyday clothes while Tara had a quicksnack.
“So, did you hear about the rocket?”
“What about the rocket?”
“It came from outer space to kill us all!”
Tara looked at her sister. “Where’d you hear that?”
“Lorne.”
“I think Lorne is lying.”
“I don’t!”
“Well, Wesley never mentioned rockets. He just mentioned homework.”
“Homework is icky.”
“Yeah, but we gotta do it anyway.”
“I’m not gonna do homework,” Lilah said.
Tara tilted her head. “How?”
“I’m just not.”
“I think you’re crazy.”
“Of course I’m crazy! Crazy like a bird!”
“Girls! Bedtime!”
“Yes, Mom,” they said in unison, then headed upstairs.
As the girls had become children, some rearranging needed to happen. Unfortunately, Athletic restricts moving largeitems (including beds), but it doesn’t restrict moving walls. So the third floor now has a small hallway with thecomputer and bookshelf, a small bathroom, and a larger room with the Energizer and four beds. Wesley, as theoldest, claimed the one by the windows, as it was separate from the rest. Lorne claimed the one in the corner. Thatleft the twins with the two close together, which suited them just fine.
“Joyce, Joyce, where are you going?”
“I’m off to college, Aunt Fred.”
“Did you tell your parents?”
“Yup.”
“Have a great time, lots of parties, and always remember to wear your nightgown to class!”
“Um, thanks for the advice.”
“Excited?”
“Nervous, but yes.”
“I’m sure you’ll do just fine.”
“I hope so!”
“So you’re the only kid left in the house, huh?”
Harmony patted her aunt’s shoulder. “I home.”
“Yup, you’re home. Now, let’s get you a bottle.”
The bottle had its natural effect, and Xander taught Harmony how to use a potty.
Unlike his cousins, who would cry if left in their cribs for too long, Danny was generally a happy child, able to distracthimself easily.
He liked people, of course, and especially enjoyed being read to, but he was also happy on his own.
Charlie enjoyed his job with the Military, despite not getting an immediate promotion He immediately vowed to workharder and do better.
At least he had time to reach the top.
Tuesday night, Danny, like Tara and Lilah, became a child. A very cute child.
And Willow came home from her new job as a Dishwasher to a very unexpected sight.
“Will,” she asked, when he entered the room, “why is there a strange man in our bed?”
“Oh, that’s Goopy. My sort of boyfriend.”
“Did you woohoo him?”
Will looked at her strangely. “You did say I could woohoo in the bed.”
“Oh, no, don’t misunderstand me.”
“Oh?”
“I’m proud of you.”
“Uh, thanks, sis.”
“No problem. Now kick him out, because I want to sleep.”
“Joyce! You made it!”
“Hey, Dawn.”
“Nice outfit. Not very me, but it suits you.”
Joyce looked down at her clothing. “Oh, yeah. Thanks. I’m much happier with this than the kimono, anyway.”
Dawn nodded. “I would be.”
They hugged. ‘It’s good to see you, though, and to be here.”
“It’s good to have you.”
“I’m going to have to entertain you when you’re bored, aren’t I?”
“Of course!”
“Great.” Joyce pulled back from the hug. “Hold on a sec, first.”
“Sure.”
“Hey, Dad? Yes, I got here safely. Yes, Dawn is here. Yes, right in front of me. Thanks. Love you too!”
“Ready to go party?”
“Um…”
“Actually, I have to get to my final. But when I get back, it’s time to get this party started.”
Joyce grinned at her sister. “You’re on.”

Lorne (Joss -> Buffy -> Rupert):10/7/9/6/3 (Scorpio)
As Wesley and Lorne are both teens, I do know theiraspirations and lifetime wants. However, they arepossible heirs, and thus may be needed for plot, andtherefore you will not be finding out what those statsare yet.
And now some new stats:
Tara Maclay Whedon (Joss -> Buffy -> Rupert):4/7/8/5/2 (Gemini)
Lilah Morgan Whedon (Joss -> Buffy -> Rupert):6/7/10/3/2 (Gemini)
Both twins have black hair (like both parents) and grayeyes (like their mother, and their father’s recessive, which comes from Buffy).
Daniel Osbourne Whedon (Joss -> Buffy -> Anya):6/8/6/2/5 (Aries)
Harmony Kendall Whedon (Joss -> Buffy -> Fred):4/10/9/4/1 (Gemini)
Danny has red hair (like his father) and green eyes(which come from Eloise). Harmony has brown hair(like her mother) and green eyes (like her father).
I was very excited when I realized that Harmony’sbrown hair gave me all five eye colors and all four haircolors in one generation.
Uh, isn’t a uni student a bit young to be picking up a child?
I was sad to see Kobe and Kim go, but it was their time, and we now have Miss Kitty Fantastico to work on the lastpet restriction.
Also, LTWs for the win! This update added Willow, Fred, and Lynne to the completed section. Will is in progress(currently at 29/50, with a locked want for 30), Rupert is in progress (though I need to check on how much money hestill needs to earn to hit $100,000), and Armando and Lester are both in their LTW careers, and quickly rising throughthe ranks.
Oh, and, restrictions lifted so far (while one of Will’sdates entertains us all by getting hit by lightning):
Hopelessness (Joss)Alien Tech (Liam)
Pet Showbiz (Kobe)Service (Kim)
Music (Joss)Science (Eloise)Military (Martin)Culinary (Buffy)Education (Anya)Adventurer (Willow)Business (Lynne)Paranormal (Will)Medical (Fred)Gamer (Rupert)
