My husband and I work outside the house, with three sons and live in the suburb area of Jakarta housekeepers and baby sitter played important role in taking care the children while parents are not at home

The baby sitter and housekeeper are Moslems, and as a sign of respect to their faithwe prefer not to cook pork they have time to pray (salat, the second pillar of Islam) five times a day, attend prayers held in the mosque each night called tarawih, to fast (the fourth pillar of Islam) during the month of Ramadhan and have a two-week holiday to return to their hometown for Idul Fitri at the end of the fast.

By showing respect to our housekeeper and baby sitter, we trust that our children will learn that respecting and loving others is the most essential of human relationships.
