A Moot is an international gathering of Scouts between 18 and 25 years of age. The 14th World Scout Moot took place for the first time in Canada, from August 8 to 18, 2013, bringing together young adults from around the world. The Moot 2013 headquarters will be located at the Awacamenj Mino outdoor base in Low, Quebec, 75 km north of Ottawa-Gatineau. This natural setting, right in the heart of the Outaouais forest, is where the large gatherings such as the opening and closing ceremonies will take place, as well as conferences, workshops and outdoor activities. However, part of the program will take place in the urban settings of Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City and Toronto, where the young people will be invited to take part in an expedition challenge.

So here are a couple of videos that show you different parts of the Moot- Opening Ceremony

You know how they is normally a rush to get the backseats on the buses we this happened everytime we went on them for a justified reason. They are describe as a 48 seater what they dont tell you is that the seats at the front are designed for the younger school. i.e. imagine myself attempting to sit in a seat designed for a 10 year to fit in. Not a pretty sight. But this just made us stay awake and have a fun bus journey through singing and lying down in the gangway in order the stretch out.*We had two opening ceremonies, one in Ottawa in front of the Parliament Building and the second on the evening of our first day at the Campsite.*Prior to the Moot we were placed in International Patrols which were based on the Path and Urban Experience that we choose. There was the choice of eco-resposible, life, adventure, water paths along with Quebec, Toronto and Montreal as the cities to visit on our Urban Experience.*Prior to the Moot we were placed in International Patrols which were based on the Path and Urban Experience that we choose.
