LEARNING TO LEARN IN THE 21ST CENTURY

How do adults learn? What is the difference between learning and studying? Do we each have a preferred learning style? How does

learning happen? What is the importance of nutrition, sleep and music in learning? How are learning strategies developed? In his lecture, organised by Adult Continuing Education (ACE) at UCC, Dr Denis Staunton surveys some of the most exciting new research on ‘learning to learn’ in adulthood. His lecture is based on his book Going to College as a Mature Student: The Next Step in your Academic Journey recently published by ACE, UCC.
