Eligibility Criteria (Essential): MA in Education: a. A Candidate who has successfully completed the Bachelor’s Degree (Pass or Honours) of

this University or any other recognized University under 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent system of education shall be eligible to apply.

However, a candidate who has taken the Bachelor’s Degree (Pass or Honours) of this University or any other recognized University under the pattern 10+2+2 or 10+1+3 or 11+3 or its equivalent system of education and has subsequently passed one-year Bridge Course is also eligible to apply.

Admission Procedure:

The Distance Education Admission Eligibility Test (DEAET):

All applicants for admission in Post Graduate (PG) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Programme will have to appear in the ‘Distance Education Admission Eligibility Test’ (DEAET)-2014 which will be conducted by DDE, Tripura University in Tripura University, Suryamaninagar, failing to which applicant’s candidature will not be considered for admission.

Admit Cards:

Post Graduate Programmes:

In case of Post Graduate Programmes the counterfoil marked as “Acknowledgement-cum-Admit Card” issued at the time of submission of Application for Admission Forms, must be produced at the time of Admission Test in the DDE, TU. No separate call letter will be sent to the address of the applicants and no TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for appearing in the DEAET-2014.

Mere receipt of “Acknowledgement-cum-Admit Card” does not entitle any one the right to appear in the DEAET-2014 or admission to any programme under DDE, TU.

Selection Procedure:

Post Graduate Programmes:

The selection of Candidates for admission in Post Graduate Programmes shall be made on the basis of the merit list prepared by DDE on the basis of the ‘Distance Education Admission Eligibility Test’ (DEAET) conducted by the DDE, Tripura University.

Intake Capacity:

MA in Education : 200 Students

Reservation:

Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC (Non creamy layer)/, Persons with Disabilities (PWD) shall be as per Central Government Rules and Guidelines.

Medium of Instruction:

For all Programmes under DDE, TU except language subjects, the medium of instruction in PCPs, writing in Examinations and Assignments, is English.

ALL ASSIGNMENTS AND MODEL QUESTIONS ETC. SHALL BE AVAILABLE IN THE TRIPURA UNIVERSITY WEBSITE. NO HARD COPY OF ASSIGNMENTS, MODEL QUESTIONS ETC. WILL BE GIVEN TO ANY CANDIDATE/LEARNERS. CANDIDATES/LEARNERS SHALL HAVE TO DOWNLOAD THE SAME FROM THE TRIPURA UNIVERSITY WEBSITE: www.tripurauniv.in.

Students are required to deposit Examination Fee while filling in their Examination Forms, Registration Forms as per Tripura University rules.

Renewal Fee : Rs. 300.00

Deferred Fee : Rs. 300.00

All fees have to be paid through Power Jyoti Challan (No 32157404236) at any Branch of SBI. .

DDE, TU SHALL NOT REFUND ANY FEE AFTER ADMISSION OF A STUDENT TO A PROGRAMME. HENCE, NO APPLICATION WITH SUCH REQUEST SHALL BE ENTERTAINED BY DDE, TU UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Structure and Pattern of Questions:

Structure:

The ‘Distance Education Admission Eligibility Test’ shall be conducted by DDE, Tripura University and shall be of 50 Marks. There shall be 50 (fifty) Multiple Choice Questions each carrying 01 (one mark). 50 (fifty) Multiple Choice Questions X 1 (one) Mark = 50 Marks

Candidates will be provided with a Booklet containing Multiple Choice Questions which they are required to answer within a maximum time of 02 (two) hours. Pattern: The pattern of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) shall be Usual Multiple Choice Questions.

Weightage for Preparation of Merit List:

Post-Graduation:

Merit List shall be prepared completely on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the DEAET-2014.

Documents to be Attached with the Application Form:

1. Two recent coloured Passport Size Photograph. Affix one copy each in the Application Form and in the “Acknowledgement-cum-Admit Card”.

2. Self Attested Photocopies of Mark-sheets and Certificates of all Examinations Passed.

3. Admit Card of Secondary Examination for Age Verification.

4. Certificate in case of SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/PWD & Sports (only State/National/International level) from the appropriate competent authority.

5. If employed, Employer’s sponsorship/No Objection Certificate should be submitted at the time of admission.

Details of Eligibility Criteria, Admission Test Norms, Date of Admission Tests, Syllabus of DEAET-2014 of the respective Programme, List of Selected and Waitlisted Candidates for Admission shall be available in the DDE Notice Board and in the Tripura University Website: www.tripurauniv.in.

GUIDELINES FOR CANDIDATES

MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS Full Marks : 50 Duration of Exam. - 2 Hours

READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY

1. Use black dot pen only.

2. Fill in the particulars given in the Question Booklet and OMR sheet during Examination.

3. Fill in the particulars (on the Side 1) of the OMR Answer Sheet as per Instructions contained in OMR Answer Sheet.

4. The SET No. of this Question Booklet is A/B/C. Write the SET No. at the specific space provided in the OMR Answer Sheet.

5. There are 50 (Fifty) questions in the Question Booklet, each carrying 1 (one) mark.

6. Each question or incomplete statement is followed by 4 (four) suggestive answers—[A], [B], [C] and [D] of which only one is correct. Mark the correct answer by darkening the appropriate circle.

7. Marking of more than one answer against any question will be treated as incorrect response and no mark shall be awarded.
