We are fully integrating a two-generation (2Gen) approach, transforming how we deliver services.

We use research-based strategies to help families living in poverty clear the path to success. In 2018, we:

• Became the first in Minnesota to offer the evidence-based coaching model Mobility Mentoring®. The model provides intensive 1:1 coaching for up to a year-and-a-half and helps participants to assess their situation, set their own goals and move their lives forward.

• Designed and completed the initial pilots for an innovative 2Gen executive functioning coaching curriculum for preschoolers and their parents. The curriculum will build stronger executive functioning in both generations, countering the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences, known as ACEs.

We work with national thought leaders to drive new strategies for change.

• We are 1 of 10 Ascend Network Partners of the Aspen Institute Family Prosperity Innovation Community and participate in forums to leverage ideas, data and tools for change.

• As part of the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities (Molly serves as Chair) we helped develop a research report to provide strategies for community based organizations to address challenges and achieve greater results.

We anticipate and respond to changes in families, and communities. For more than 140 years, The Family Partnership’s services have grown and changed with the people we serve. We are laser-focused on measuring outcomes for the work we do.

Finally, we actively steward our resources in a volatile funding environment. For our Capital Campaign, we successfully secured over $10 million from the State of Minnesota for our new building that will insure our long-term financial stability and enhance our service delivery. And, we ran a healthy surplus in 2018!

We thank you for your investment in our work!

some very traumatic

experiences, including abuse

and drug addicted parents.

Since becoming sober, I tried

everything. It didn’t seem this

therapy would (help), however,

I was surprised. My boys

actually adhere to a schedule

now…are both able to repair

relationships after a fight and

take time outs. Not everything

is perfect, but we are working

SUPER BOWL UPS STREET OUTREACH

The Super Bowl brought heightened awareness of sex trafficking in the Twin Cities. Beginning in January, staff from the PRIDE program and the Minnesota Indian Women’s Resource Center (MIWRC) increased “on the streets” outreach to 3-4X a week.

This effort reached 377 survivors with offers to connect them to services. Funding is provided by the City of Minneapolis Health Department.

By engaging survivors where

they are and offering support,

we create an “exit ramp” that

makes it easier to escape

sexual exploitation.92%

OUR SERVICES: In 2018, we served 624 victims/survivors and trained 859 people on recognizing signs of sex trafficking and what to do if spotted.

Serving survivors from age 10 to 56 years-old – PRIDE provides services across the lifespan. In 2018, 61 percent of those served were from age 25 to age 65. That is an important service distinction, since the Minnesota Safe Harbor legislation covers services for those age 24 and younger (with no criminal charges for those 18 and under)

– leaving a significant gap for those age 25 and older.

PARTICIPANT OUTCOMES:

For 41 years, our PRIDE (Promoting Recovery, Independence, Dignity, and Equality) program has supported survivors of sexual exploitation with comprehensive services. In 2018, outreach and service delivery to survivors of sex trafficking increased by 42%.
