We will learn about ventures, goods, and services this week. We also Words Their Way (spelling) Please see the new spelling words in ‘boxes’---we sort and work on our “SPELLING”/Words Their Way lists each night and in class. The parent check sheet will guide you with fun activities. Do the top side the 1 st week and the reverse side the 2 nd week. Our tests will be every 2-3 weeks. We have groups working on 4 varing levels so far this year. We took our ‘practice’ whole class test last week. Most students did well. NOW, we are breaking into our 4 leveled spelling groups. Your child needs to cut the sorts Monday night, sort them, follow the nightly activity choices----PARENTS SIGN---during week 1. THEN, turn Math We are working on identifying the parts/ whole for a number bond. We continue to work on counting to 120. We have begun to identify the 2 parts to make a whole/number bond. See the worksheets in the red hw folder.This is challenging, so *CLASS WEBSITE http://www.dvusd.org/Doma in/2835 School picture day is coming up on September 6 th . **We began our Cub of the Week last week. Mrs. Schmidt’s First Grade Minions August 21, 2017 Review/Wk#2

Words Their Way (spelling)Please see the new spelling words in

‘boxes’---we sort and work on our “SPELLING”/Words Their Way lists each

night and in class. The parent check sheet will guide you with fun activities.

Do the top side the 1st week and the reverse side the 2nd week. Our tests will be every 2-3 weeks. We have groups

We are working on identifying the parts/ whole for a number bond. We continue to work on counting to 120. We have begun to identify the 2 parts to make a whole/number bond. See the worksheets in the red hw folder.This is challenging, so please support your child. Refer to the Engage New York website Module 1 for hints on strategies used.
