A collection of nine detached waterfront homes
The old adage that location, location, location is the vital
ingredient when considering a property is particularly relevant
when looking as this delightful new development of nine detached
properties at Safety Bay on the River Medway. Approached via
a private road at the end of Warwick Crescent in Borstal, these
luxury four-bedroom family homes nestle in a charming curved
enclave along the riverfront, adjacent to the Medway Bridge
Marina and well protected by a Gabion retaining wall.
The three different house styles all include four bedrooms with
two en suites and a family bathroom as well as a ground-floor
cloakroom. Some of the houses have a substantial second-floor
master suite and many of them have balconies with views across
the river. The ground floors consist of a large and well-fitted
kitchen/dining room as well as a spacious lounge, a terrace, garden
and garage.
From a location point of view it is not just its proximity to
the river that is such an attraction but it is very convenient
for commuting, education and entertainment. You can easily
and safely walk to the nearby Pilgrim Primary School with its
Outstanding rating from Ofsted. The two grammar schools –
Rochester Grammar and the St. Joseph Williamson Maths School
(commonly known as ‘The Maths’) are also rated Outstanding
by Ofsted and they are only a short distance away. There are also

well catered for as you can be in London within 37 minutes from
Rochester station and it is only 38 miles to the centre of the West

trip to the Continent in a little over half an hour.
Borstal is a friendly village on the outskirts of Rochester and
includes local amenities and a modern village hall with
activities such as yoga and a play group. If you enjoy boating, the
Medway Bridge Marina is literally on your doorstep and you can
also join the Medway Yacht Club or the Rochester Cruising Club.
For golfing enthusiasts, there is the Rochester and Cobham Golf
Club, while sporting aficionados can indulge in most activities
from football and rugby to skiing and skating. There are a number
of excellent pubs and restaurants in the area and plenty of history
to be found in Rochester as well as annual events such as the
Dickens Festival in the summer and Dickens Christmas in the

provide a charming addition to summer entertainment .
