DESCRIPTION
Stumbling as he enters, The sprinklers stretch their wings Leaving a trace of black smoke, We celebrate until we see the sun, As water feeds the dry crackled earth. Until we feel the dew With his hands in his pockets, Sparklers are passed out to each eager child, In late September. A dogs bark, a clamor of laughter. That blends into the night. Breaks the stillness of dawn, They are lit, illumining the black sky. Headlights of a car, He stands silently. Reeking of spirits.
