VISION
In five years, sssutms agricultural school in sehore will grow as a focal point for us to deal with
major challenges related to people and stakeholders.
❖ We will be investigating and providing strategic direction to positively impact the
economic vitality and sustainability of the agriculture, food and forestry stakeholders we
serve.
❖ We will enhance and extend the natural beauty and conservation of our area through
sound stewardship practices of the land, water, air, forests, and related environmental
resources.
MISSION
The central purpose of the college is to focus on the critical issues in agriculture, food, and
forestry in the region, in the state of M.P., and especially those issues that are applicable
worldwide.
We achieve our purpose in teaching by designing basic, yet futuristic, degree programs
that empower students to contribute globally through satisfying and productive careers.
We also achieve our purpose in research and outreach by generating the knowledge and
disseminating the results that will enhance the economic vitality and quality of life of the people
and stakeholders we serve.

(3) Program Educational Preambles (PEO’s):
PEO 1: Having successful technical and professional careers in power system, including supportive and
leadership roles on multidisciplinary teams.
PEO 2: To acquire, use and develop skills as required for effective professional practices.
PEO 3: Exhibit demonstrable attributes for life-long learning to remain alongside in their profession and
be leaders in technologically vibrant society.
(4) Programme Outcomes (PO’s) :
PO-01: Agriculture Knowledge: An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, agriculture
engineering fundamentals and agriculture mechanical engineering concepts to the solution of complex
agriculture engineering problems.
PO-02: Problem Analysis: An ability to identify, formulate, research literature and analyze complex
agriculture engineering and related problems to design agriculture system to meet specific social needs
using principles of mathematics, natural sciences and agriculture sciences.
PO-03: Design/Development of Solution: Design circuits, electrical drive systems, processes and
optimal electrical components and solutions for complex agriculture engineering problems using their
core technical skills with appropriate consideration for public health, safety, cultural, societal, and
environmental considerations.
PO-04: Investigation: To investigate complexity in agriculture engineering problems in a methodical
way including literature survey, design and conduct of experiments, analysis and interpretation of
experimental data and synthesis of information to derive valid conclusions.
PO-05: Modern Tool Usage: To analyze, identify, formulate and solve hardware and software based
computing problems using modern engineering and software tools such as Matlab simulation, C++,
Ansys, CAD design of electrical machines and soft computing techniques including resources such as
national laboratories and standard data’s with an understanding of the limitations.
PO06: The agriculture Engineer and Society: An ability to apply reasoning informed by contextual
knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities
relevant to professional agriculture engineering practice and solution to complex agriculture engineering
problems.
PO-07: Environment and Sustainability: Analyze the impact of industrial activities on global warming
and finding the sustainable technical solution through independent and reflective learning.
PO-08: Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics, social responsibilities and
norms of electrical and power agriculture engineering practice such as.
PO-09: Individual and Team Work: An ability to work effectively, as an individual or in a team, on
multifaceted and /or multidisciplinary settings.

Preamble:
1. To introduce the basic concepts related with Horticulture like gardening, garden types
lawn making etc.
2. To understand the different methods of plant propagation, knowledge of different
medicinal, aeromatic, spices and condiments plants.

2. To understand the different inter horticulture activities like training, cutting, pruning,
pollination, fertilization etc.
3. To know about different tools and implements used in horticulture.

Horticulture -Its definition and branches, importance and scope; horticultural and
botanical lassification; climate and soil for horticultural crops.
UNIT-2- Plant propagation (10 Hrs.)-
Plant propagation-methods and propagating structures; principles of orchard

In view of globalization and development of new technologies, it is essential that the
students meet international quality standards. One of the pillars for quality assurance in
agricultural education is the curriculum, which takes are of contemporary needs, provides for

Rural Economics
The students shall take-up tech-economic survey of the village as per the prescribed
questionnaire. The students shall be required to collect the data on economic condition of village,
resource endowment and its utilization, problems of labour and employment and other important
economic aspects detailed in the schedule.
The student shall also conduct a farm survey and workout the cost of cultivation of
principal crops grown on the farm allotted to them. He will also maintain a farm record book and
analyze the data. On the basis of the results students will formulate a number of alternative plans
in consultation with the farmers and the
Extension Programme
The students shall involve themselves in the following extension education programmes –
I. Identification of agricultural problems of the village and training needs of the
farmers.
II. Conducting method demonstrations of improved practices.
III. Organization of short duration farmers training, camps, field visits and agricultural
exhibitions.
IV. Study of the on-going extension programmes in the villages.
V. Arrange farmers meeting the discuss agricultural aspects.
VI. Visit to village institutions and study their role in development programmes and other
extension activities.
VII. Motivate farmers through different extension teaching methods.
VIII. Documentation of success stories. Each student will prepare a report with respect to
the activities indicated above and submit it to the Chairman of Advisory Committee
for its evaluation.
The students shall be given an opportunity to acquaint themselves with ongoing programmes
and activities of research, development, marketing, extension agencies and organizations in
