Abstract
OEE is an important index that is used to evaluate and to monitor availability, performance, and quality of
equipments in the process. This study develops a database management system to calculate OEE. It applies a relational database application to store main data and to record transaction data which are
related to manufacturing process. The system is used to calculate and to summarize such data as reports in tabular forms and charts e.g. percentage of availability, performance, quality, causes of time
losses, causes of quality losses, etc. Those reports are fundamental information for process analysis and
development. The system is actually implemented in a case study company of stamping sheet metal product. This company used to have problems in calculating OEE and creating reports due to numerous
data collected from several manufacturing process. The result from implementation of this tool can reduce the duration of reporting. It also gives various views of summary reports to stakeholders.
