six days work may be done,

but on the seventh day there

is a Sabbath of complete rest,

a holy convocation. You shall

not do any work; it is a Sab-

bath to Yahweh in all your

dwellings.'"

Do “Appointed Times” start the evening before, according to Yahweh’s

calendar? (Lev. 23:32.) If a Sabbath day starts in the evening, when the

sun goes down past the horizon, then does a Sabbath also end on an eve-

ning? (Mark 1:21, 32) Does the fading away of the sun determine when a

new day is beginning? (Ps. 104:19.)

Note: There is a theory that the Sabbath starts from the new moon.

That is, one counts from a new moon seven days to come to the Sabbath.

This is impossible since the creation account shows the first moon, liter-

ally a new moon, being created on the 4th day, Gen. 1:14-19. 3-days later

Yahweh rested on the Sabbath day, Gen. 2:1-3.

It is also commanded that six days one is to work, Ex. 20:9; Deut. 5:13.

This is problematic for those observing the false doctrine of the “lunar

Sabbath,” especially at the beginning and the end of a Scriptural month,

which is designated by the new moon shown on a regular pattern every

29 to 30 days.

Another theory is that a day, and therefore the Sabbath on the 7th

day, starts from noon to noon. This, too, is impossible since Scripture

clearly defines that one day is separated by another day when the sun

goes down, Ps. 104:19. Theories will come and go, but Yahweh’s word

stands true, due to the steadfastness of the Ones Who provided it, Mal.

3:6; Heb. 13:8; James 1:17.

What is the definition of a 24 hour day? (Gen. 1:5.) Did those of an-

cient times believe a day ended when the sun went down in the evening?

(Judges 14:8; 19:9.)

Ancient Calculated Calendars?

If you’ve studied the timetable of Noah’s Ark (Gen. 7-8), you’ll find that

the months are in 30 day increments. During this time the moon was not

able to be viewed each month, it was counted out to the 30th day. The

same thing is done today when the new moon is not visibly confirmed

due to excessive cloud cover. Only in man’s calendars will you find 31 day

months. Interestingly enough, October 1582 had a 21 day month author-

ized by Pope Gregory XIII.

The weekly pattern would be easy to keep track of since it has not

changed from creation. Even with recent calendar changes the weekly

pattern can be historically verified going back to the Messiah’s time of the

first century of the Common Era. Yahshua attended the synagogues at that time, as was His custom (Luke

4:16), in obedience with Yahweh’s word.

Silent Store Reminder

For the past few years there has been a silent auction/store

at the Feast of Tabernacles and we would like to continue this

idea.

What can you do to help make the store a huge success? You

can donate new items that you think others would like to pur-

chase. Items that have been donated in the past are Religious

DVDs, pictures with past Feast themes, Kosher marshmallows,

ladies shawls, ladies head coverings, items with the present

Feast theme on them, T-shirts with the Feast theme on them,

books, tools and etc.

So what can we expect this year? Maybe similar items as last year but new ones such as an afghan,

kitchen gadgets, homemade candies and baked goodies.

This has always been a fun time and the monies raised go to spread Yahweh's Word.

The two most ignored commands in the Bible are the sign He has

given us and the seal by which we are preserved. Briefly, we find that the

“sign” is keeping His Sabbaths:

“Moreover also I gave them My Sabbaths, to be a SIGN between Me

and them, that they might know that I am Yahweh that sanctify them.

(Ezekiel 20:12 )…And hallow my Sabbaths; and they shall be a SIGN be-

tween Me and you, that you may know that I am YAHWEH your Elohim,”

Ezek. 20:20.

We are sanctified by keeping His Sabbaths; that is, we are set apart as

a special people for His holy purpose. The Sabbaths are a distinct time in

which we come to truly known Him and draw closer to Him. The world in

general rejects these days, thinking they are free from all such obliga-

tions and responsibilities and thereby they miss the opportunities to learn to know Him.

His Sabbaths set us apart from the world. The time spent honoring His Sabbaths enriches our understand-

ing of Him and His ways. What’s more, important and prophetic events likely will occur at these times, which

will reveal His very presence.

The seal is His Name: We are sealed with His Name upon baptism (Rev. 14:1) and already carry His Name

for we are known as “His wife” (Rev. 19:7), and have prepared and made ourselves ready. The sealing agent

is the Holy Spirit: “And grieve not the holy Spirit of Yahweh, whereby you are sealed unto the day of redemp-

tion,” Eph. 4:30. We are to be baptized into the saving Name of Yahshua, the only Name that has salvation

(Acts 4:12).

In keeping with the admonition of doing everything in a proper and orderly manner (1 Cor. 14:40), we are

announcing the following changes (see below) to be voted on during this year’s Feast of Tabernacles General

Business Meeting for baptized brethren. Article VII, Section II shows a vote is necessary both of the board and

general members. The Board of Directors voted on the following and on the dates shown:

October 13th, 2014: John Fisher moved that Directors be removed from the listing in the Bylaws after

three years post-decease or have been non-communicative or inactive for the same time period. David sec-

onded the motion. No other discussion. Motion passes.

April 5th, 2015: David moved to terminate Gary Merryman & Roberto Bernal from the position of Deacon,

due to their lack of responsiveness to efforts to include them in assembly decisions. John seconded, and mo-

tion passed.

Both have expressed that they are not interested in Deaconship, but can serve Yahweh in other ways.

The above, if approved, would be implemented immediately after October 1st. If, within this 60 day notifi-

cation interim, you’d like a copy of the bylaws, we would be happy to provide a copy at your request.

Fundamentals of Faith Amendments Notification

To give a more accurate account of Yahweh’s Word, the Elders have de-

cided to put the following proposed amendments to the Fundamentals of

Faith before the General Business Meeting at this year’s Feast of Taberna-

cles to be discussed and voted upon by the baptized brethren:

13. Feast of Tabernacles

THAT the Feast of Tabernacles points to the righteous one-thousand-year

reign of our soon-coming King Yahshua, Zechariah 14:16. A time of peace,

prosperity and joy shall prevail when Yahshua rules by the Law of Yahweh.

Studying all Scripture (2 Timothy 3:14-17) and coming to worship before

Him at the Feast of Tabernacles demonstrates our faith in Yahweh's even-

tual sovereignty over the entire earth. A commanded Assembly where Yah-

weh has placed His name, the Feast of Tabernacles is observed seven days

starting on the 15th day of the seventh month (Tishri 15 through 21). The

first day of the Feast is the sixth Annual Sabbath, Leviticus 23:34-36, 43;

Numbers 29:12. The Sabbatical-Jubilee cycle is also indicative of Yahweh's

plan of redemption, entering His "rest."

14. The Eighth Day

THAT the Appointed Time, the Feast of the Eighth Day is the seventh An-

nual Sabbath, Leviticus 23:36, Numbers 29:35-39 and Nehemiah 8:18. It

portrays the time of the White Throne judgment after Yahshua's thousand-

year reign, Matthew 25:32. After evil has been consumed in the Lake of

Fire (Revelation 20:10, 14, 15), the Eighth Day signifies Eternity, when time,

as mankind has come to know it, no longer exists. It is the "time" of "a New

Heaven and a New Earth," when "all things are made new," in which the

New Jerusalem comes down out of Heaven from Yahweh, and Yahweh

Himself tabernacles with mankind, Isaiah 66:22, Revelation 21:1-5. Eternal

life, represented by the Feast of the Eighth Day, will be granted to those

who endure to the end (Revelation 2:7), keeping the Commandments of

Yahweh and the faith of Yahshua, Revelation 14:12.
