What is EUREKA
“A pan‐European network for market‐oriented, industrial R&D”
A decentralized inter‐governmental initiative started in 1985
Financial support is provided by individual participating countries’ programs
The internationally‐recognized EUREKA label adds value and competitive edge to R&D projects
Among its various programs are the ‘Clusters’ programs, with each covering a particular industry sector e.g. ICT, Energy
Standard project: 1‐5 million Euro budget for 3 year duration

Evaluation CriteriaConsortium must comprise 2 or more companies from 2different EUREKAmember countries
SMEs should participate if the consortium is led by a Large Enterprise.Research Institute or University participation is strongly encouraged when not mandatory
Must demonstrate technical innovation
Must have strong market and exploitation commitment
