Everyone in the school community has one priority - to put our children first. We are working tirelessly to create an outstanding school, where every pupil has a chance to fulfil their potential. Our door is always open and we do everything to help our parents, from offering wraparound care from 6am - 6pm to providing minibuses to bring our children to school. Lanesfield is a school where everyone is proud to be a pupil, teacher or parent, and is on a continual journey of improvement to make it even better.

We recognise that every child is different – no pupil at Lanesfield is just a number on a register. All of the staff know every pupil as an individual, and help them develop their unique character. We help our pupils embrace their strengths and tackle any weaknesses to become the best they can be, and suceed beyond expectation.

learn bestWe believe that to succeed, our children need to be happy every day at school. We know every child individually and their little quirks, and constantly monitor them to they thrive on a day-to-day basis. We also have a dedicated member of staff who looks after the well-being the pupils, and everyone knows she is the perfect person to talk to and trust if they have a problem.

Our classrooms are vibrant, buzzing places to learn with the pupil’s work and colourful images covering the walls.

The curriculum is innovative and is designed to be both spark the imagination, and provide the essential academic skills. Our outstanding teachers bring subjects to life with an enthusiasm that inspires a lifelong love of learning. Every one of our teaching staff are on a continuous journey of improvement to improve their skills even further.

We use iPads as learning tools, and have qualified Apple Learning teachers to exploit their use to the full. We continually examine how we learn, and how the science of teaching can help us adopt new ways to excite and inspire our children in the classroom.

The behaviour in our school is outstanding. The key is that it’s based on every pupil taking responsibility for theirself, and how they treat others. We instil self reliance at an early age – we challenge our pupils to do do the right thing, and our pupils fully embrace this.

body and mindAll our pupils enjoy the many activities we offer them. Where do we start?

Our specialist music teacher ensures that everyone can experience the joy of playing an instrument and our Boys Band love singing their heart out. We have a Forest School, and our dedicated sports teacher ensures many different sports can be enjoyed. Last but not least, is our unique Lanesfield Passport - a list of 100 essential things in life to experience during your time at Lanesfield – from climbing a tree to visiting a West End Show!
