What About Old Installations?

Grifco “Monitored” Entrapment Protection Systems

There are thousands & thousands of automated commercial doors installed across Australia & New Zealand, manyofwhichmaynotmeettherequirementsof the current standard.

There is a legal obligation on all businesses to provide asafeworkplace, partofwhichmeansensuringallautomated commercial doors are safe and meet the requirements of the standard.

What does the term “Monitored” mean?

A monitored safety device requires a dedicated control system to actively supervise the state of the safety sensor to ensure that any kind of sensor failure willbedetected, preventingthedoorfromoperatingunsafely. Traditional systems with a contact type safety

sensor can be bypassed or fail unsafely and therefore DO NOT COMPLY with the standards.

The Grifco range of unique monitored Entrapment ProtectionSystems, wheninstalledwithacompatibleGrifco Commercial Door Opener can ensure a compliant installation.
