Simple, Flexible, Proven Design Used in many applications Good performance in low and high concentrations Several sample probe designs/ configurations available depending upon

application and particulate loading Heated sample line maintains gas sample above dew point until removal in

conditioning stage Sample pump(s) pull sample from sample point to conditioning system



Moisture is removed from sample allowing dry gas into analyzers for measurement

Analyzers used must be selected based on proven technology for emissions being measured

Proven Analytical Technologies used: Chemiluminescence (NOx) NDIR, IR-GFC (CO & CO2) UV Fluorescence (SO2) Paramagnetic (O2) FTIR (hot/ wet extractive system)

Analyzer emissions measurements are sent to DAS System operations controlled by PLC or data logger PLC also receives other CEMS inputs and signals from plant – can also

provide outputs for plant use Auto calibration of CEMS is required – have capability for manual

calibration All CEMS components need to be protected from environmental conditions



DAS (Data Acquisition System) receives data from analyzers and other system inputs

DAS performs calculations as required DAS stores raw and calculated data DAS “flags” exceedances and other alarm conditions and

generates alarms DAS provides reports required for submittal to regulatory agencies Some regulatory agencies require daily transmittal of data
