a how-to book by a preschooler
DESCRIPTION
What are you an expert at? Two dozen early-childhood teachers, who have been participating in a professional development program at R2LP, asked more than 150 preschoolers this question. With support from their teachers and peers, the children then illustrated and dictated their own “how-to” books, providing directions for everything from falling sleep to doing a jumping jack. The books will be on display in January 2012 at the Children’s Museum of Rhode Island. The participating teachers are taking a seminar on observing and documenting children’s learning as part of a collaboration between Ready to Learn Providence and Making Learning Visible, a program out of Harvard University.TRANSCRIPT
