With an adult HIV prevalence rate of 11.5%, Mozambique is one of PEPFAR’s 15 priority countries. To date, Mozambique has received approximately $1.9 billion in PEPFAR funding. PEPFAR Mozambique supports the following partners in Niassa Province: Abt Associates, American Society of Clinical Pathology, Association of Pubic Health La-boratories, Family Health International, Federal Uni-versity of Rio De Janeiro, Instituto Nacional de Saúde, JHPIEGO, Pathfinder International, Population Ser-vices International, and the U.S. Department of State Small Grants Program.

Anti-retroviral therapy (ART) for nearly 10,678 individu-als

Anti-retroviral prophylaxis for nearly 2,000 pregnant women to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV

HIV testing and counseling for more than 155, 611 peo-ple

Care and support to nearly 25,583 Mozambicans, in-cluding 4,364 orphans and vulnerable children

Training for more than 309 community health workers 40 treatment sites and 64 PMTCT sites

Through these partners, FY13 PEPFAR funds supported the following activities in Niassa Province:
