CommentResolution raised €800bn of equity for its third and largest fund to date. The new fund has been backed by 10 US university endowment funds, including Ivy league colleges Yale, Harvard and Princeton. Large UK and Dutch pension funds and a major UK family are also among the backers.

Resolution Real Estate Fund III, which aims to have eventual funds of £3bn, will target all sectors. Its first investment was the 350,000 sq ft Printworks leisure scheme in Manchester, which it bought from BA Pension fund and Pearl at the end of 2007 for £105m.
