THE SCALIGERIS’ GRAVES The Scaligeris’ Graves were built in the XVI century A.D. by

Dalla Scala family. They’re composed by Cansignorio, Mastino II and Cangrande’s graves. They’re near Piazza dei Signori. Under Cangrande’s grave there is a chapel that was of property of Dalla Scala family, now it’s free for the public as well. Currently the ladder is the symbol of Verona and its football team.

THE ARENA

The Arena is the biggest building in Italy, more than the Colosseum. It was built in the 1st century A.D. by the Romans and in the past there were fights between men and lions. Now there are many festivals, concerts and operas. Inside there are some entrances that are called “vomitatoi”.
