A life without Scouting.
There are many reasons that people join Scouting; to spend more time with their child, to learn new skills, to make new friends, and so much more! Can you imagine where the world would be without Scouting? Along with benefiting youth, there are also many ways that Scouting benefits the community including community service and collecting food and clothes once a year for charity.
Will you help fund the unseen expenses of Scouting?By supporting the behind the scenes operations, you are ensuring your child will continue to have a quality Scouting experience.

Training
a program without STEM.
STEM is part of an initiative the Boy Scouts of America has taken on to encourage the natural curiosity of youth members and their sense of wonder about these fields through existing programs. From archery to welding, Scouts can’t help but enjoy the wide range of STEM-related activities. To support this initiative, the BSA developed the Nova Awards program so that youth members have fun and receive recognition for their efforts.

Your Friends of Scouting donation ensures that we can support 68,000 youth and 24,000 volunteer leaders that we serve in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. Scouting teaches our youth leadership and important skills that will lead them through life. The “true” cost of Scouting goes beyond the visible expenses you see such as books, uniforms, Boys’ Life, equipment, registration, activity fees and meeting fees. The majority of Scouting’s expenses are unseen! Camp without
resources.Camp is a major milestone in any child’s life. It’s a place for them to make memories that they will carry with them for years to come. Imagine if our camps didn’t have the resources to be all that they can be. Camp offers a fun, safe place for children to make those memories and learn new skills along the way.
At camp Scouts:● Have more fun and tend to stay in Scouting longer● Make memories that will last a lifetime!● Build craft projects● Make campfires● Create skits and songs● Learn life skills such as swimming, first aid, lifesaving and personal fitness
All donations ensure your Scouts have memories like these!
