There was such a lovely atmosphere and everyone commented on what a super morning it was, we even managed to get glorious weather! I am sure you will agree that the school looks, and is, fabulous! We all feel very lucky and privileged to have a brand new school and very proud to be the first pupils, staff and Headteacher of such a great school. A-MA-ZING!! What a glorious and wonderful day we had last Monday! Thank you to everyone who came for our opening morning to make it so special. There was such a lovely atmosphere and everyone commented on what a super morning it was, we even managed to get glorious weather! I am sure you will agree that the school looks, and is, fabulous! Cluster Cross Country Final results: Final results for 2018 are as follows: Ted Bird was 1st overall for Year 3/4 boys, as was Charlotte Lewis for the girls. Well done also to Clemmie Davies who came 2nd overall and Amelie Murphy, who came 10th. Also, well done to the Year 3/4 girls team who came 2nd overall in the cluster. An excellent achievement everyone!

Cashless System - Please remember to activate your Cashless account as soon as possible, even if your child does not take a school dinner, as Breakfast Club is now cashless. Once activated, you can allocate your money to separate areas. At present, dinners and Breakfast Club are the only cashless items we are using, but we will be looking at After School Club, swimming and possibly school visits in the future, so please activate your account. Many thanks.

ICT News Since returning after half-term, HwB have changed how we log on to their site, this is both in school and at home. Therefore, everyone must log in using their username and then “[email protected]” Any problems, please see Mrs. Kenchington. On Wednesday 4th July, we shall be holding a Coding Day in school and we are inviting parents to come after school that day to see what the children have been up to. More details will follow nearer the time.

Lydia reports for BBC Newsround! Lydia Glasspool from Year 6 became a Newsround reporter for the day on Thursday 25th May at the Hay Festival! Along with 2 other pupils from other schools, Lydia got to interview authors who were appearing on the day, talking about their books. You can still

view Lydia’s interview on the BBC iplayer website. Super work!

Thank you! A very large thank you must go to the Powys Transformation team of Mrs. Betsan Ifan, Schools Transformation Project Manager, Mr. Ian Pilcher, Senior Project Manager and Mr. Calvin Williams and all at Heart of Wales Property Services Ltd., who have worked so hard to get our school built, completed and furnished to such a high standard on time. A massive thank you to Willmott-Dixon and everyone in their team, but especially to Mr. Martin James, our site manager, who has been with us every step of the way and ensured that our school was built to the best standard and the best quality, in order to provide us with the best! He has been amazing! Also, a very big thank you also to Mr & Mrs. S. Gallagher for coming in during moving week and organising our library and Mrs. T. Richardson for helping out too.

Entrepreneurial Regional Finals - After our Entrepreneurial Day, the school entered the Enterprise Troopers Primary Competition back in May and we have qualified for the Regional Finals and have achieved a silver award!! Therefore, on Friday 22nd June,16 pupils from school will be going to Newtown to display their enterprise skills and present their products before the judges. Best of luck!

School Photos - These will be taken in school time, however, if you would like a photograph including pre-school siblings, please arrive at 8.30am in the hall so that these can be taken first. Please can we remind you to send your child in their full school uniform. Many thanks.
