Christmas is coming and little Robin is very excited. To help him count down the days,
Mummy and Daddy have given him an advent calendar. Behind every window is an
activity. Join Robin as he links the pictures together with the activities in this pack.

ROCKING ROBINS
What you will need:
1. Coloured cardboard or an old cereal box
2. Glue and scissors
3. Red tissue paper torn in to small pieces and scrunched up
4. Coloured card cut into a triangle for the beak
5. Strips of coloured card for the tail
STEP 1:
Take your piece of card and draw around a circular plate or glass depending on how big you want your
Rocking Robin to be
STEP 2:
Cut out your cardboard circle and fold it in half
STEP 3:
On both halves of your cardboard circle, glue and stick down the scrunched up pieces of tissue paper to
make the red breast of your robin
STEP 4:
Fold your triangle card in half and stick in place for your robin’s beak, and add the strips of card for the
tail
STEP 5:
Tap your robin and watch it rock!
MELTED SNOWMAN BISCUITS
What you will need:
1. Rich tea biscuits
2. White marshmallows
3. Green & Red smarties, skittles or m&m’s
4. Red & Green laces or gummy snakes for the scarf
5. Icing sugar mixture
6. Dark chocolate writing icing to decorate
Step 1:
In a bowl, make up your icing
Step 2:
Spread or drizzle your icing on to your biscuits to create the melted snowman body
Step 3:
Whilst the icing is still moist, add your marshmallow for the head and your choice of sweets for
the scarf and the buttons
Step 4:
Leave the icing to set
Step 5:
Using your icing pen, add the snowman’s eyes, nose, mouth, arms and hands

HANDPRINT ROBINS
What you will need:
1. Red Paint 2. Brown Paint 3. Coloured Card 4. Yellow Card or colouring pen 5. White paper 6. Glue 7. Black pen 8. Scissors 9. Paint Brush
Step 1:
Paint the palm of your hand red and your fingers and thumb brown
Step 2:
Print your hand on to white paper once or multiple times depending on how many hand print robins you
want to make, and let the paint dry
Step 3:
Cut out your hand prints
Step 4:
Stick your hand prints onto card
Step 5:
Add a yellow beak, an eye and feet with your yellow card/pen and black pen
CHRISTMAS COOKIES
What you will need:
Ingredients for about 40 biscuits:
1. 180g cold butter
2. 200g of icing sugar
3. 350g plain flour
4. 1 large egg
5. 1 egg yolk
6. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
7. Pinch of salt
In addition:
1. 50g of milk or dark chocolate melted or icing pen
2. Red smarties, skittles or m&m’s for the nose
3. Cling film
Step 1:
Pre heat the oven to 180c
Step 2:
Put all of your ingredients in to a bowl and blend or mix together until you have a ball of dough
Step 3:
Wrap your dough in cling film and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes
Step 4:
After cooling, tear pieces of dough, roll at a thickness of about 3mm lightly with flour and cut out your
cookies
Step 5:
Place dough cookies on to a baking sheet that has been lined with baking paper
Step 6:
Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes until golden brown
Step 7:
Decorate your biscuits
BRIGHT SHINING STAR
What you will need:
1. 6 lolly pop sticks
2. Glue
3. Glitter
4. Thread
Step 1:
Take 3 of your lolly pop sticks and stick them in to a triangle. Then do the same with the other 3 lolly
pop sticks and leave them to dry
Step 2:
Turn one triangle over and stick the two together to form a star
Step 3:
Cover the star in glue and sprinkle glitter all over it, leave to dry and then repeat on the other side
Step 4:
Tie a piece of thread through one of your points to hang as a Christmas decoration
WREATH PAINTING
What you will need:
1. A clean washing up brush or similar
2. Small paint brush
3. Green paint
4. Red paint
5. Plain or coloured card
6. Decoration of your choice
Step 1:
Dip your brush in your green paint and on a piece of card dab the brush repeatedly to create a circular
wreath
Step 2:
With your smaller paint brush and red paint, add your berries at random on your wreath
Step 3:
Decorate your wreath
