10) NSS unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth's College Of Engineering For Women donated a
"Satranji” to the Kondiwade village temple in presence of villagers and principal Dr.
D.S. Bilgi on 7th

11) All NSS volunteers were introduced about NSS, upcoming activities and guided by
prof. S. A. Itkatkar in the Orientation program held on 16th

12) On the occasion of Gurupornima handmade diaries were gifted to the teaching and
non-teaching staff on 19th
July 2016. All the volunteers were blessed by the staff.

July 2016 was celebrated as Lokmanya Tilak Jayanti by conducting the open
book Quiz competition for all the volunteers.
14) Fifteen NSS volunteers attended the workshop based on Consumer Rights at SPPU on

16) NSS unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth's College Of Engineering For Women, guided the
students and parents for the admission process of First Year Engineering in Bharati
Vidyapeeth's College Of Engineering For Women from 1st August 2016 to 6

17) In annual Award Function organized by NSS department of Savitribai Phule Pune
University, Bharati Vidyapeeth‟s College of Engineering for Women achieved
awards in which Monika Shinde was awarded for participation in National Republic
Day parade at Delhi and participation in International Youth Exchange at China.
18) In annual Award Function organized by NSS department of Savitribai Phule Pune
University, Bharati Vidyapeeth‟s College of Engineering for Women achieved awards
in which Kalyani Joshi was awarded for participation in state level Utkarsh camp.
19) In annual Award Function organized by NSS department of Savitribai Phule Pune
University, Bharati Vidyapeeth‟s College of Engineering for Women achieved award
in which Prof. S.A. Itkarkar was awarded for contribution in Food Committee in
"Avhan-Disaster Management Camp", being the committee in charge.
20) On 12th
August 2016, International Youth Day , NSS unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth's
College Of Engineering For Women organized poster exhibition which included
various posters made by volunteers and some technical videos.
21) The volunteers of Bharati Vidyapeeth's College Of Engineering For Women
participated in Tiranga Rally started from Shaniwarwada to S. P. College on the 14th
August 2016.
22) On Independence Day NSS volunteers organized and attended the Flag hoisting
ceremony in Bharati Vidyapeeth's College Of Engineering For Women in the
presence of Principal Dr. H. V. Vankudre and all staff members.
23) On 18th
August 2016, NSS unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth's College Of Engineering For
Women visited “Adhar Mook-Badhir Sanstha” to celebrate "Rakshabandhan" with
special children and conducted a drawing competition and many games.

25) Introduction to Sakal‟s Young Inspirator‟s Network was given to NSS volunteers on

27) A trek was organized by NSS unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth's College Of Engineering
For Women for the volunteers at “Purandar Fort” on 28th

volunteers participated in the trek.

30) To spread awareness among students and staff members about the importance of
organ donation, poster exhibition was organized by NSS volunteers on the occasion of
“Organ Donation Awareness”.

students and parents for Direct Second Year Admissions of Engineering on 31st

32) Lokayat organized a campaign against women violence in co-ordination with NSS

Vidyapeeth‟s College Of Engineering for Women on Friday 2nd

which NSS volunteers helped in the election process.

September 2016 on "Eye Donation Awareness" for college
students which helped the students and encouraged them to fill the form for eye
donation.

volunteers to create awareness within the women living in slum areas.

construction site along with their children and had interaction and played many games
and lastly provided them the refreshments.

competition” organized by Bharati Vidyapeeth‟s college of engineering katraj college

Women visited “Nivara old age home” to celebrate Makarsankranti with people at old
age home and had interaction with them.

Women celebrated Makarsankrant with people in Bharti Vidyapeeth campus and
asked them to put their views about soldiers on paper.
75) 25 NSS volunteers of Bharati Vidyapeeths College Of Enggineering For Women
participated in one day camp at SPPU held on 15th
January 2017 in which we had to
paint the trees in SPPU campus.

Vidyapeeth's College Of Engineering For Women cultural program "JISHIN 17" held

February 2017. The main aim of the drama was to highlight the issue of folk
artists which are nearly neglected by the society like 'Potraj' ,'Nacha'.

Competition on Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar at Garware College in co-ordination with

As more than 50% of India resides in villages, so therefore, for the development of
the nation, we must start with the development of the rural areas. With this moto, the NSS
department of Bharati Vidyapeeth‟s college of engineering for Women had organized a 7
days special camp at SHRIRAMNAGAR, from 3rd
January 2017 to 9th
January 2017, in
association with Savitribai Phule Pune University.
The camp was inaugurated by Shri. Somnath Landge, Mrs. Sunita Vavhal
(Sarpanch), Principal Dr. H. V. Vankudre, Staff Member , NSS volunteers , members of gram
panchayat & residents of the village. A short lecture was given by Miss. Swarnima on “Sant
Vicharanchi Garaj” which was enjoyed by all the villagers. Then the NSS volunteers started
with the Gram survey to know the needs of the village & the residents there.
Next day started with a very interesting workshop of “candle making” for volunteers
and women in village. After that skit competition of NSS volunteers was taken. As this is era
of cashless, Mr. Amey Bage delivered a lecture on “Cashless society” for all the villagers and
volunteers, which ended with a small play on “Cashless”. Next day was the fun with learn
day for all the students in the village as Science Exhibition and Craft Making was conducted
by NSS volunteers. After that Dr. Amol Patil delivered a very interactive and helpful lecture
on “Nutrition and diet” for people in village. After that fancy-dress competition was held for
children in village.
Next day started with a very informative lecture by former NSS volunteer Miss.
Mamata Yengul on “Life skills”. After that many competitions for the children of
shriramnagar were held by the volunteers such as- essay writing, drawing, rangoli, best out of
waste, etc. As our life completely depend on managements, former NSS volunteer Miss.
Kritika Surya delivered a lecture on “Management Skills”. In the evening, a program of home
minister which was nothing but a haldi kumkum ceremony was organized for the ladies of the
village. Next day the volunteers carried out a rally on the issues of cleanliness in village.
After that volunteers helped children for their practice for dance. In evening, a gathering was
carried out which gave a wide platform to the children of the village as well as the NSS
volunteers to bring out their talents in the field of acting, dancing, singing & many more.
Also a play “Varhad Nighalay Londonla” by Mr. Rajendra Utturkar was cherishing.People
from & around shriramnagar enjoyed the evening.
Next day started with the informative lecture on “Disaster Management” for
the volunteers. After that diary making workshop was conducted for volunteers. All
volunteers with the villegers enjoyed the auspicious “Bhajan” program at Ram temple in
Shriramnagar. Then came the favourite time of all ladies that is “Anand Melava” conducted
in the evening. After all the fun, “Samaj Prabodhanpar Bharud” was presented by Mr. Anil
Shivaji Kengar. On the last day, the trek to Kadjai Mata Mandir was successfully completed
by all the volunteers.
Thus with the support of our honorable Principal Dr. H. V. Vankudre, NSS program
officers Prof. Savita Itkarkar & Prof. Sonali Kadam, Teaching & non-teaching Staff
Members, NSS volunteers & the villagers, the camp came to a successful ending on 9th
January, 2017.
