The Tinplate Company of India Limited (TCIL) along with the Tata Group Companies joined hands to celebrate the 179th birth anniversary of its Founder, Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata. The morning of March 3, 2018 saw an august gathering of people at the Founder’s statue near Works Main Gate of Tata Steel. Mr Tarun Daga, Managing Director, TCIL, paid floral tributes to the Founder. Company’s senior officials and employees also participated in the march-past. During the Founder’s Day, sports was organised for Tata Group companies at Gopal Maidan. TCIL team participated in different events and won accolades.

The Tinplate Company India Limited (TCIL) dedicated a bust on Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata as part of its 179th birth anniversary celebration on March 3, 2018. The bust was inaugurated by Mr Koushik Chatterjee, Chairman, TCIL. On the occasion, Dr J J Irani, Former Managing Director, Tata Steel, Mr Tarun Daga, Managing Director, TCIL, Mr R N Murthy, Executive Director, TCIL and Mr Rakeshwar Pandey, President, GTWU were present.

projects. The projects depicted the themes of Engineering Utilities, Mechatronics, Domestic Appliances, Plant Pain Areas, Creativity, Innovation, Environment and Training Enhancement.

UTTHAN on a new highThe Tinplate Company of India Limited ( TCIL) organised improvement initiative contest, UTTHAN-35 on February 14, 2018 at General Office Auditorium in which 8 teams participated consisting of 33 employees. The panel of jury comprising Mr Savio Rebello, Mr Manish Kumar and Mr K Swaminathan evaluated each and every Project presented and communicated the OFIs to each team. Mr Sajnay Kumar Shrivastava, CFO and Mr D K Singh, General Secretary, GTWU felicitated the winners.

The Tinplate Company of India (TCIL) organised 'Abhinandan Diwas' at the General Office. Mr P K Bandopadhyay, ETP (E&E), CDM (Projects), Mr Ashok Kumar, Internal Audit, Asst. Officer and Mr Samir Kumar Boyal, Power (Elect.Servs.), Sr. Technician were extended warm farewell. On the occasion, school children who excelled in Road Safety Week contests were also felicitated.

Cadets sprint to suCCess in Founder’s day sports
Cadets of TCIL participated in the Founder’s Day Sports and won accolades in several events held on March 3, 2018 at Gopal Maidan. TCIL team won third position in 8x50 m Mix Corporate Relay. The participants were M/s Anamika Kumari, Mamata Dash, Mrutunjay Mohanty, Debashish Dhal, AN Padhi, Aatif Abrar Bakhsh, Padam Bahadur Gurung and MSBBM Krishna. Sanjeev Kumar won gold in 1500 m and 3000 m race.
