ADOPTION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE RIGHT OF CHILDREN TO FREE AND COMPULSORY EDUCATION (RTE) ACT 2009

1. Admission under RTE shall be granted in class I only amounting to at least 25% of the strength of that class and to provide compulsory education up to class VIII.

2. The policy of automatic admission of pre-preparatory and preparatory students to class I shall be withdrawn. All admissions in class 1 are to be treated as fresh admissions.

3. Proof of residence shall be obtained from the applicants seeking admission under the provision of RTE act 2009.

4. AEES has mandate to provide admission to the wards of DAE employees, the admission at first instance will be granted to the DAE wards.

Method of calculating the numbers of admission under RTE and remaining non-DAE Seats:

1. Let the number of DAE students to be admitted: x2. Then no. of admissions under RTE: x/33. After this the required no. of sections in class I will be: n(an integer)which is

determined from (x + x/3)/35 or the next higher integer , if it is a fraction,(Where 35 is the designated section strength). For example if (x + x/3)/35 is 2.3, then the no. of sections n=3.

4. Total no. of students that can be admitted in class I: z=(nx35)5. The remaining no. of admissions that need to be done under RTE

:y=(z-(x+x/3))/46. Hence, total of RTE admission in class I : (x/3+y)7. Remaining admission to be allotted to other non-DAE students: (z-(x + x/3+y))

Children admitted under RTE Act 2009

= No fee is to be charged from the children admitted under the 25% quota prescribed under RTE Act 2009.

= One set of NCERT text books will be provided by schools of AEES to each c h i l d admitted under RTE Act. Other expenses on account of note book , stationery , uniform and transport will be reimbursed on production of proper receipts in respect of25% of the children admitted under the act, subject to the prescribe ceiling of the expenses.

= Once the children are admitted in class I under RTE Act , they will continue to enjoy exemptions and concessions till Class VIII , either in the same AEC School or any other AEC School if moved on the transfer , as per RTE Act .

= Address proof of parents should be furnished at the time of the registration.= Employees who have the facility of reimbursement from their employers /

Department cannot claim RTE concession.

In respect of admission in pre-prep and preparatory classes and from classes II to XII , grant of admission is restricted to DAE wards .
