1. How to enter the course

Type your codes into the Username and Password sections and click on Login.




2. The home page

Once you have logged in to the platform, you will see the Home page of the course. On the home page you can see the components of your course.

The home page is different for different courses.

You can also see information about your progress and test scores.

3. Getting started

Select the first unit or section of the course.

Use the menu on the left to go to the different parts in the unit or section.

Use the numbered tabs to go from one exercise to the next.




Click on Home to choose the next unit or section. Click on Logout when you finish your session.

4. Support documents and other course information

If you have support documents, you will see a section called My documents.

In the top menus you can access more things, like your tutor profile and your course calendar, for students working in a group.




5. Your tutor

You can see information about you tutor by clicking on My tutor.

Here you can see how to contact your tutor for speaking tutorials.




6. Net Languages mail

To contact your tutor, you need to click on the Mail link in the bar at the top.

This will open up your mail.

An open message looks like this.




When you open and read a message it changes to white and you see the “open envelope” icon.

To reply to a message from your tutor, click on the arrow on the right of the message. To start a new message, click on New message to your tutor.

This will open a new message window. Write the subject of your mail and write your message. You can also attach a document. You can send your Writing Tutorials as attachments in Word or text documents if you like. To attach a document, click on Browse and find the document you want to attach. To send it, click on Send.




After you send a message, you will see the sent message icon.

7. Speech recognition (In General English courses only)

Each unit of General English courses contains a variety of speech recognition exercises. The exercises practise sounds, words, sentences and your fluency when you read aloud. Read the Speech Recognition guide in My documents for more information and tips.




8. Course resources and tools

To see the resources available in your course, click on My resources.
