Taking away the mumbo jumbo

Have you ever been frustrated by all the new age jargon, religious and obscure language terms that riddle the vast majority of self-help books about yogic meditation and relaxation?

Do you have a basic distrust of authority figures and just want to learn by trying things for yourself?

Do you need a guru?

People who are further down the a path and know more than you can be useful for advice. They deserve our respect but you don't need to sell your soul to them.Often friends are our best teachers. Life is pretty chaotic these days. We're all trying to relax. We all have our story to tell.If you haven't got access to an external teacher then seek within, listen to what your body tells you, learn from your experience. Take the time to reflect and share with others.

About the author

I'm a 50+ Australian, still working part-time to pay the bills. The rest of my time I help people with shiatsu and massage, do the odd astrology chart for friends with new bubs, meditate and work in my garden of rainforest and edible plants. I also write a bit of paranormal sci-fi erotica. Born with multiple allergies and a nervous disposition keeping my health through relaxation, lifestyle choices, food and exercise isn't an option for me, it's a way of life.
