    In BIO 110A, students t ravel to the Galpagos Islands and Ecuador to explore one o the most geographically exciting and biologically

    In the social sciences, students learn to interpret human behavior by exploring the dynamics o individuals and groups. Each year,

    These projects include interviews with entrepreneurs and the development of simple business plans.

    Exercise specialist majors are assigned two clients for whom they are responsible for developing and implementingpersonalized fitness programs. Students work individually with faculty advisers to develop appropriate programs

On their first day, I ask them what they want to gain from my instruction. Throughout our time together,I address their questions and concerns.     Fall candidates may apply orEarly Action I (iling deadl ine o November 15 with

    or all admission and November 1 or spring admission. A maximum o 64 credits may be

    applied to ones degree rom a two-year college, with the ollowing exceptions: 65 credits

    may be applied or business majors and 69 credits may be applied or engineering majors.

    In addition, at least 15 credits in the major ield o study and the last 30 credits must be

    completed at Hostra (the 15 credits need not be included within the last 30 semester hours).

    Information Sessions and ToursAdmission inormation sessions are held weekdays at 10:15 a.m. and 2 p.m. Each session is

    ollowed by a guided campus tour at 11:15 a.m. and 3 p.m. On Saturdays, inormation

    sessions begin at 9:30 and 11 a.m., with tours at 10:30 a.m. and noon. There are 9:30 a.m.

    and 10 a.m. sessions oered on select Sundays. All sessions and tours begin at the Oice o

    Undergraduate Admission located in Bernon Hall. Due to space limitat ions, please schedule

    your visit in advance at hofstra.edu/visit.

    Financing Your EducationHostra is dedicated to providing scholarship support or deserv ing

    transer students. For 2010-2011, Hostra awarded more than $68.5 m

    need-based inancial aid. The average award or irst-year students

    $18,014, while the average inancial aid package or irst-year stude

    need was $11,485. More than 1,000 irst-year students received mer
