SPORT WEEK _2016 (26th March to 31st March 2016)

Opening ceremony

The opening ceremony of Sport week 2016 were held on football ground of SRPEC, campus. Principal

of the College Dr. A. H. Shah officially declared the games open . The flag Bearers were guided by

sportweek committee member Rohit shearon who was a march leader. He also give an oath to all

the participants to play a game with true sport spirit.

Cricket

Total 24 teams of different semester and branches participated in boys events and $4 teams

from girls have took part in most popular sport of this nation. Due to such a good flow teams

qualifying round 16 teams of boys qualified for pre quarter final round and 6 matches of this

of pre quarter had arranged prior to sport week.

There was a match on the first day in Evening session between 8th ME (Milap) and 6

th ME

(Jay). By beating 6th ME , 8

th ME reached quarter final.

Day:2 28th

March 2016

On the second day there were total three matches, morning session was for the victory of 8th

ME (BK) over 8th

ME (Kunj) and they reached the quarter finals. In morning in 1st quarter

final 8th

civil (Sameer) got victory over 8nd

Civil (Mihir). In evening session 6th ME (Ketul)

got victory over 2nd

civil (Mohsin).

March 2016

In morning session, 8th ME (Milap) won the quarter final over 2

nd CE (Rohan).from Girls

Civil girls notched a victory over computer girls and got position in final. In evening session

of 8th

ME (BK) won quarter final against 4th Civil (Parth).

Day:4 30th

March 2016

Day 4 had two semi finals of boys and one semi final of girls format. In boys 8th civil

(Sameer) won 1st semi final against 6

th ME (Ketul) And 8

th ME (Milap) won 2

nd semifinal

against 8th ME (BK). From girls 6

th comp won against 8

th comp in semifinal.

Day:5 31st March 2016

On the fifth day, final of boys won by 8th

ME (Milap) against 8th civil (Sameer). From girls

side Civil girls won the final aginst 6th comp.

Football

Total 8 teams had registered for the sport week football league round. These teams are

divided in two pools: Pool A and Pool B. Each Team had to play against Three team of his

Pool. Total 12 league matches were arranged. Top performer team from each pool had

qualified for final.

Volleyball

19 team had participated in volley ball tournament of sport week. After qualifying round 12

top teams were placed in 4 pools: pool A, pool B, pool C, pool D. 12 matches were arranged

in pools to get best 4 teams for semifinals.

10 teams has registered for the Kabaddi tournament of sportweek. Top 6 had reached the

league round in which they had divided in to two pools; pool A and pool B.

Badminton

More than 120 boys and 15 girls participated inthis event of sport week. After qualifying

round 32 boys qualified for sport week badminton tournament.

tournament of the sport week

In a third day after completing 1st round 16 students (boys) reached pre-quarter round (boys)

In a fourth day 4 8 students played quarter finals (boys) & 4 students (girls) played semifinals

carrom in a particular place.

On the 5th students (boys) & 2 students (girls) playing carrom in a particular place.5th day

was the last day of the sports week.

Semifinal 1: Patel Nirav (D13CL02) vs. Vaghela Dalpat (12ME120) won by Patel Nirav

Semifinal 2: Patel Brijesh (13ME16) vs. Patel Tarun (14ME57) won by Patel Brijesh

two finals were held one for boys and one for girls:

In boys final match Patel Nirav from 8th civil won by defeating Patel Brijesh of 4th

mechanical.

In girls final Patel Maitri of 6th

computer won by defeating Chaudhari Priyanka 6th computer.

After qualifying round 32 students qualified to enter the sport week chess tournaments.
