A Report on the Activities Accomplished during 2014-15 Under CSI - Ahmedabad Chapter 1. National Round of CSI Discover Thinking Programming Competition - on 4 th April, 2014 Computer Society of India Ahmedabad Chapter & Narsinhbhai Institute of Computers Studies and Management (NICSM) – CSI Student Branch hosted the 2 nd National Programming Contest the Final round of CSI Discover Thinking Programming Contest – 2014 exclusively for CSI Student Members, at Kadi on 4 th April 2014. The Programming Contest was organized by Computer Society of India with the support of Persistent Systems ltd., Pune as an Event Partner and Reliscore.com as a skill Assessment Partner. For CSI Discover Thinking Programming Contest, total 1982 students from 328 CSI Student Branches across India registered and participated in the online first round of the Programming contest. Out of total participants top 09 students were scrutinized based on The score were invited for the Skype interview Call. At the end of the Skype interview the Committee scrutinized top 06 contestants. Out of 06 scrutinized finalists from all over India, 3 contestants were from Tamilnadu, 1 was from Maharashtra, 1 was from Gujarat and 1 was From Chattisgarh. The Final round of programming contest was started at 10:00 am. The online final round of programming contest was carried out by reliscore.com included probem Of real life which can be solved through C, C++, or JAVA platform. The prize distribution ceremony was started at 3:3 pm at Maneklal Patel, Conference Hall, S V Campus, Kadi. Dr. Nilesh Modi, Chairman, Ahmedabad Chapter & Prof. & Head NICSM, Kadi welcomed the honorable guests, speakers and the participant and gave brief detail About programming contest. Mr. Shekhar Sahasrabudhe Consultant at Persistent and Regional Vice President, Region - VI at Computer Society of India elaborated the technical Information about contest and its functioning. Prof. R.P.Soni, Regional Vice-President, Region – III discussed the functioning of CSI and different activities at region – 3 in Association with industry, academic institutions and student branches. Prof. Bipin Mehta, Vice-President CSI, shared the information about CSI – HQ and its activities and he also Made aware the students about upcoming CSI activities going to be held at various places in India and encouraged the students to take part in such events. Dr. S M Shah, Director NICSM was not able to grace the event but he conveyed his greetings for the event and in his greeting message he thanked Shri Vallabhbhai M Patel, Chairman, Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal, Kadi for giving full support for executing the event at a grand scale. The online evolution of the Programming contest was done by reliscore.com and the final result was announced by Dr. Nilesh Modi and the winners were felicitated by Trophy, prize Money (First Prize Rs. 15000, Second Prize Rs. 10000 and Third prize was Rs. 5000) and Certificate.

1. National Round of CSI Discover Thinking Programming Competition - on 4th April, 2014

Computer Society of India Ahmedabad Chapter & Narsinhbhai Institute of Computers Studies and Management (NICSM) – CSI Student Branch hosted the 2nd National Programming Contest the Final round of CSI Discover Thinking Programming Contest – 2014 exclusively for CSI Student Members, at Kadi on 4th April 2014. The Programming Contest was organized by Computer Society of India with the support of Persistent Systems ltd., Pune as an Event Partner and Reliscore.com as a skill Assessment Partner. For CSI Discover Thinking Programming Contest, total 1982 students from 328 CSI Student Branches across India registered and participated in the online first round of the Programming contest. Out of total participants top 09 students were scrutinized based on The score were invited for the Skype interview Call. At the end of the Skype interview the Committee scrutinized top 06 contestants. Mr. Vishesh Kandhari from Institute of Technology, Nirma University, Ahmedabad, and Gujarat stood first and declared Winner. Mr. Puru Agrawal from Shri Shankracharya Institute of Professional Management and Technology, Raipur, Chattisgarh stood Second And declared Runner Up. Mr. Arvind B. from Velammal Engineering College, Chennai, Tamilnadu stood Third and declared as special mention. 2. 2nd National Seminar and Workshop on Advances in Open Source Mobile Technologies during 24 – 25 April, 2014 Department of Computer Engineering and Information Technology, Sabar Institute of Technology for Girls, Gujarat in association with Gujarat Technological University, Special Interest Group – Wireless Networks, Division IV & Ahmedabad Chapter Computer Societiy of India, Gujarat Electronics and Software Industry Association (GESIA) and Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) Regional Office, Ahmedabad organized the 2nd National Seminar and Workshop on Advances in Open Source Mobile Technologies (SABAR-AOSMT-2014) supported by GTU Open Source Technology Club and GTU Mobile Wireless Technology Club (MWTC) and technically collaborated by Xduce Technologies and ORACLE Workforce Development Program. Open source Technologies and Computing Applications have Contributed unprecedented applications from commercial to industrial and Entertainment requirements in this computing era. The Chief Guest of Inaugural Session Mr. K R Gururaja Rao, Chairman and Managing Director, Gujarat Informatics Limited, Gujarat inaugurated the Second National Seminar by lighting the lamps along with other dignitaries present on the occasion. Speaking as Chief Guest he congratulated organizers for selecting such relevant topic for deliberation in the national Seminar. He also released the Book titled “Advances in Open Source Mobile Technologies” which includes 26 accepted papers submitted by different authors. Mr. Rao also quoted that success means “I can do” and deterministic success means “I will do”.

Dr Neeta Shah, Director – e-Governance, Gujarat Informatics Limited, Gujarat speaking as Guest of Honour of the session discussed in deep about the Mobile Technology Advancements during last two decades. Dr. Shah also shared her own experiences on the front end and back ends technological usage and the problems connected there with. She has also discussed about “BYOD- Bring Your Own Device”. Prof Bipin V Mehta, Vice President, Computer Society of India and speaking as of Guest-of-Honour of Session, talked about implications about professional Societies and explained the activities and role of Computer Society of India. He also talked about increasing the number of such activities for students and also proposed a CSI student branch at Sabar Institute of Technology for Girls. Mr. Pankaj Shah, President of Gujarat Electronic and Software Industry Association (GESIA)has discussed on women empowerment and focused on the role of Industries to be played in Engineering Education. Mr. Sandeep Vasant, Hon. Secretary CSI Ahmedabad Chapter asked the participants to indulge themselves in Resarch domains in areas on open source mobile technologies. Shri Manish Patel, Managing Trustee, Sabar Institute of Technology for Girls welcomed the guests and gave the opening remarks for the Second National Seminar. Mr. Amit Joshi, Organising Secretary expessed his heartfelt thanks to the dignitaries and all the participants for acitively participating in the Second National Seminar and talked about key areas to be discussed during workshop. Mr. Vinod Thummar, Convener proposed the Vote of Thanks.

The Two Day Seminar focused on various key areas in Open Source Mobile Technologies. About 200 participants from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat participated in the workshop. Many viewers from different places in India viewed live webcast on the Seminar on the website conference.sabareducation.org. In the paper presentation Session papers were presented on various themes including Open Source, Mobile Technologies, Wireless Networks and Manets and the sessions were chaired by Dr. Harshal Arolkar, Immd. Past Chairman, CSI Ahmedabad Chapter, Dr. Chirag Thakkar, GEC, Bhavnagar, Gujarat. In the valedictory Session of the Second National Seminar held on 25.4.2014 Mr. Ravi Saxena (IAS, Retd) and Founder RISE ( Removing Ignorance for Social Empowerment) Foundation speaking as the Chief Guest of the session conguralated the organizers for selecting a very contemporary theme for the workshop. Prof. R P Soni, Regional Vice President, Region III, CSI was the Guest of Honour of the session. He shared his views about the open source movement and asked the participants to use open source operating systems to run their laptops. He also discussed the oppurtinities in the aeras of Open Source Mobile technologies. Dr. Nilesh Modi Chairman CSI Ahmedabad Chapter discussed about the upcoming of CSI and its Ahmedabad Chapter and discussed the activities being organized by CSI. Mr. Amit Joshi, Organising Secretary presented two days detailed technical session reports and the recommendations of the Workshop. Dr. Chirag Thakkar, GEC, Bhavnagar shared his views on the strengthing of Open Source Technology in last many years. Mr. Mignesh Parekh, Sr. Consultant Gesia discussed about the role of GESIA and Women Empowerment. Mr. Nisarg Pathak, State Student Coordinator Gujarat asked the participants to participate in more of events of such kind..Dr. M S Deora, Welcomed the dignitaries, guests and Participants. Mr. Amit Joshi, Organising Secretary proposed the vote of thanks. The session was conducted by Ms. Zalak Patel.

3. 46th World Telecommunication & Information Society Day on 17th May, 2014

World Telecommunication Day is celebrated annually on 17th May every year since 1969 with a specific theme every year, marking the founding of ITU and the signing of the first International Telegraph Convention in 1865. The purpose of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) is to bring awareness in public of the possibilities of using information and communication technologies (ICT) for the benefit of society and economies and as well as to bridge the digital divide. This year theme was “Broadband for Sustainable Development”. IETE Ahmedabad Centre celebrated World Telecommunication and Information Society Day - WTISD 2014 jointly with Gujarat/Ahmedabad Chapters of Institute of Engineers (IE), IEEE Communication Society, Computer Society of India (CSI), Gujarat Electronics & Software Industries Association (GESIA) on 17th May 2014 at Bhaikaka Bhavan, Ahmedabad. The event was supported by Ahmedabad Chapters of Broadcast Engineering Society & Association of British Scholars and sponsored by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL).

Shri B.K. Sinha, Chief General Manager, Gujarat Circle, BSNL was the Chief Guest of the function. The Theme Speaker for the Day was Mr. Ajay Nawani, AVP – Global Presales, Chief Cyberoam Learning. In their presentation both the dignitaries high light the progress of technology, its importance for the development of mankind, efforts made by BSNL and others to reach every corner of the country and difficulties faced and problems arose during the implementation. The interactive session after each presentation made the event further interesting.

As it was a jointly organized event each participating organizations chairmen share the responsibility to conduct the program. Shri Uresh Mehta (IE) welcomed the audience, Dr. N. P. Gajjar (IEEE-CS) introduce all the organizations, Shri Pankaj Shah (GESIA) introduce theme of the celebration, Dr Nilesh Modi (CSI) gave vote of thanks. Mr. Amod Phadke delivered the features available with the cloud and related Product developed by Converged Technologies. Mr. Anuj Kunwar elaborated the Teleconference and related features introduced by Vu Technologies. The event was well Attended by the senior members of different academic institutes and IT Companies, around 60 people were present during this knowledge sharing session. 5. Annual General Meeting of Computer Society of India Ahmedabad Chapter on 25th July, 2015 Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2013-2014 of Computer Society of India (CSI), Ahmedabad Chapter was held on Friday, 25 July, 2014 at Ahmedabad Management Association, ATIRA, Ahmedabad at 6:30 pm. Total 72 members were present, hence, the meeting was declared as non-quorum and the proceedings of the meeting was started at 6:45 pm Mr. Sandeep Vasant, Hon. Secretary (2014-2016), CSI-AC has welcomed all the present members of CSI-AC. He has referred the minutes of the AGM for the year 2013-2014 which was circulated to all the members. The minutes were confirmed and approved by all the members. It was proposed by Dr. Kuntal Patel and seconded by Mr. S. M. Solanki. Mr. Sandeep Vasant invited Dr. Harshal Arolkar, Immediate Past Chairman, CSI-AC to read and adopt the annual report and audited accounts for the year 2013-2014. The annual report and audited accounts were approved and confirmed by all the members. It was proposed by

Shri P. N. Jain and seconded by Shri Bharat Patel. Mr. P S Shah, Sr. Member, Nomination Committee (2013-2014), CSI – AC declared the slate for the year 2014-15/16 and congratulated all the elected members.

Dr. Nilesh Modi, Chairman, CSI- AC has elaborated his plan of actions for the year 2014-2015. He has informed the members regarding the events organized so far and tentative plan to organize the events for the rest of the year The major highlight of his plan of action is 1. an International Conference on Communication and Networks COMNET – 2015 under CSI: Division–IV Communication, during February – 2015. 2. As Computer Society of India is going to celebrate the flourishing 50 years as Golden Jubilee Year, as he proposed this celebration on the name of Dr Vikram Sarabhai as “Dr Vikram Sarabhai Golden Jubilee Celebration of CSI”. He also announced to organize a special theme event during 6th – 7th March, 2015. He also expressed his focus on revenue generation by holding different events with IT Industry, increasing the membership by “"Bring-A-Buddy-Along (BABA) Scheme"” an initiative of CSIHQ , reaching to more and more people through social media and involving more and more women members in different event and he has also proposed to co-opt women members into managing committee of CSI-AC. Dr. Nilesh Modi has proposed the name of Prof. M T Savalia for the chapter patron award for the year 2014-2015. It was proposed by

Mr. R N Pandya and Seconded by Mr. G F Vohra.

Shri Bipin Mehta was felicitated for being elected as Vice President (President Elect) at HQ. Shri Bipin Mehta is given the standing ovation by all the Members in AGM as he is the first Gujarati to reach the top most position at CSI – HQ. Shri R P Soni was felicitated for being elected as RVP-III (2014-2016) at HQ. Dr Haresh Bhatt was felicitated for receiving CSI Fellow at HQ. Shri P N Jain was felicitated for receiving Chapter Patron award for the year 2012-13. Dr Nilesh Modi was felicitated for receiving Significant Contribution Award for the year 2012- 13. Mr. Nisarg Pathak was felicitated for being selected as State Student Coordinator. Various award recipients at AGM of CSI-HQ at Vishakhapattnam was also felicitated by the Chapter.

3. Shri Vijay Shah, Vice Chairman, CSI-AC has proposed to develop a CSI Student Web Portal and

announced to pay the lump sum stipend of Rs. 10000/- for the same. He has also addressed the

gathering and encourage all of them to be a CSI Member and to take the participation in the

celebration of Golden Jubilee year of CSI.

4. At the end, Mr. Sandeep Vasant, Hon. Secretary, CSI-AC has proposed a vote of thanks to all the

invitee and congratulated them to spare their valuable time for the meeting. He has also

announced the initiative for placing student member of CSI for the upcoming year 2015. He has

also announced the upcoming activity “All India Seminar on Mobile Applications – Latest Trends

and Technologies” on 11-12th October, 2014.

Note: it was also decided that all the institutes will send their probable list of students who are

willing to work for specific projects and a scrutiny round will be conducted as per the

convenience of the industry.

7. Hackathon-2014 a marathon mobile app development competition Organized by CSI- Ahmedabad Chapter & Mobile Monday with support of AESICS-CSI Student Branch and IT Industry Partners (InfoStretch Corporation) 13-14th September 2014 The Hackathon-2014 was organized by Mobile Monday in association with AESICS-CSI Student Branch and CSI-Ahmedabad Chapter. The Hackathon programming competition provided excellent platform to the IT professionals and IT student teams to develop innovative Mobile Apps (iOS, Android, Windows) for solving real life problems using team work within time challenge of 24 hours. Dr. Ashok Karania, Director, Enterprise Mobility Sales & Strategy, InfoStretch Corporation and Shri Rajesh Thakker, Sr. Manager, Business Development, InfoStretch Corporation from Mobile Monday provided expert inputs for the successful execution of the event.

The Hackathon competition received very good response and received the participation from more than by 75 participants (Total 19 teams of IT Industry professionals and Students). Top 2 teams from IT Industry track and Student track were awarded cash prizes and certificates. Prof. Bipin Mehta, Vice President cum President Elect, CSI and Prof. R P Soni, Regional Vice President, Region-III provided encouragement and expert guidance for the event. Dr. Nilesh Modi, Chairman, CSI-AC, Mr. Vijay Shah, Vice Chairman, CSI-AC, Dr. Sandeep Vasant, Hon. Secretary, CSI- AC and Dr. Aditya Patel, AESICS-CSI Student Branch Coordinator interacted with young and dynamic industry and academia participants and motivated them with encouraging words.

10. Regional Student Convention – Region-III of Computer Society of India was held at AES Institute of Computer Studies on 23-24th January, 2015 CSI - Regional Student Convention-Region-III (RSC-III) was organized by AESICS-CSI Student

Branch of School of Computer Studies, Ahmedabad University during 23-24th January, 2015.

The theme of the Student Convention was “ICT for Make in India” and using innovation in IT for

contributing to our National Mission/Program of “Make in India” envisioned by our Prime

Minister. The student convention provided a platform for young students to come together –

“compete, collaborate and innovate” and ignited students to come out with new IT innovations

for – Digital India, Smart India and Clean India. The regional student convention received very

good response and student participation from CSI Region-III - Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya

Pradash with 500+ student participants and 800+ event participations from different Colleges

and Universities.

The chief guest for the inaugural function was Dr. Shailendra Mehta, Vice Chancellor,

Ahmedabad University. Dr. Mehta encouraged students for “Make in India” using “Innovation

in IT”.

Ten different technical events were organized as a part of the Student Convention: Keynote

Address, Panel Discussion on “Using ICT for Make in India”, Web Weaver “Web Designing

Competition”, Idea/Poster Presentation, Quizter “IT Quiz”, Code Villa “Software Programming

Competition”, Web Spin “e-Treasure Hunt”, LAN Gaming “Clan War”, Venture IT “Innovative

Mobile App Competition”, Grand Challenge Problem on “Using ICT for Development of Smart

Cities”.

The experts for the panel discussion on “Make in India” were Mr. Jay Ruparel, President of

Gujarat Electronics & Software Industries Association (GESIA), Co-founder and Executive

Director, Azure Knowledge Corporation, Mr. Anant Gijare, Chief Information Officer, Adani

Power Ltd and Mr. Nitin Bawsay, Chief Executive Officer , Verve Systems Pvt. Ltd.

Various technical events organized during the two days Student Convention provided a

competitive and collaborative environment for the young students to come out with new

software apps, innovative mobile apps with potential for new venture/ business creation in IT

industry.

Mr. Dewang Modi, Director, iValue Systech Pvt. Ltd., Solution Expert, Education, Apple Inc. also delivered a lecture about Apps.

The chief guest of the valedictory function was Prof. R P Soni, Regional Vice President ,CSI and

Campus Director (Computer Education), GLS Institute of Computer Technology.

He encouraged participants to know more about emerging technologies for better professional career. Prof.Soni, Mr. Dewang Modi, Prof. Bipin Mehta and faculty co-ordinators distributed trophies and certificates to Winners of various events. Dr. Aditya Patel, Convener, RSC III proposed vote of thanks and thanked Ahmedabad University , Computer Society of India, faculty and staff members, participants , student volunteers for their support in making this event a success.

Ganpat University, Faculty of Management and Computer Society of India – Ahmedabad Chapter has

organized 7th International Conference on Emerging Management Perspectives, Practices, and Research

Trends and First Doctoral Colloquium on the theme Information Systems and Operation Management

at Ganesh Maredian, S G Highway, Ahmedabad on February 6-7, 2015.

The main objective of this event was to bring together distinguished academicians from various

institutions, management thinkers, experts, professional practitioners and students at a common

platform.

The event was inaugurated on Friday February 6, 2015 in the presence of esteemed personalities like

Prof. Bipin Mehta (President Elect, Computer Society of India); Mr. Anilbhai Patel (President, Ganpat

University & Patron of the Conference); Dr. Mahendra Sharma (Director, Ganpat University &

Chairperson of the event), Dr. Bhimaraya Metri (Dean – Academic & Professor of Operations

Management, International Institute of Management, New Delhi); Dr. Amit Patel (Registrar, Ganpat

University & convener of the event) and Prof. Rajen Purohit (Convener of the event). In addition to this,

the event was also blessed by Dr. Rajneesh Das (Regional Director, Johnson Graduate School of

Management, Cornell University USA). Dr Nilesh Modi, Chairman, Computer Society of India –

Ahmedabad Chapter. The conference had various eminent personalities from industrial and academic

background who had honored the position of being judge of various tracks and had given their valuable

inputs throughout the event.

The two day conference included a keynote address, 7 plenary sessions, 2 Expert Sessions and 6 Tracks

for the paper presentation. The conference received total 30 Abstracts out of which 21 full papers were

received and presented.

On the first day, Dr. Bhimaraya Metri delivered the keynote speech followed by various plenary sessions

by Dr. Neeta shah (Director, E-governance, GIL, Govt. of Gujarat), Dr. Panduranga Vithal M. (Professor,

IIPM, Banglore) and Dr. Ravichandran (Professor, IIM Ahmedabad & President ORSI – Ahmedabad

food supply chain; Dr. Nilesh Modi (Chairman, CSI, Ahmedabad Chapter) delivered expert session on

Social Media and Cyber Security, Mrs. Vibha Desai (Senior Manager, IL&FS Skills development

Corporation Limited) delivered an expert session; Mr. Sanjay Gaden (Head, State E-Governance Mission

Team) gave glance on “a mission simplifying E-Governance) and Dr. Nityesh Bhatt (Associate Professor,

Institute of Management, Nirma University) delivered a session on “Contemporary ICT enabled

operation Practices”.

The Doctoral Colloquium was organized as a part of GCeMP and received total 40 Abstract of Ph. D work

out of which 30 full proposals & Research papers were received and presented. On first day of The

Doctoral Colloquium Workshop on “Advanced Data Analysis Techniques” was organized and 20 Ph D

scholars have attended the workshop. Dr. Shubrat Sahu (Associate Professor, PDPU) and Dr. Jayesh

Agaja (Associate Professor, Institute of Management, Nirma University) delivered a expert sessions on

“Exploratory Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis” in the workshop.

The event received an appreciation from various organizations like Computer Society of India,

Ahmedabad Chapter; Operational Research Society of India; Association of Indian Management schools

(AIMS), Asia Pacific International College, Australia; Department of Science and Technology – Govt. of

Gujarat, and Gujarat Council on Science and Technology – Govt. of Gujarat.

12. State Level Student Convention of Computer Society of India was organized by GLS

Institute of Computer Technology on 7th February, 2015 A state level CSI Student Convention was organized by GLS CSI Student Branch on February 7th,

2015 at GLS campus.

GLS (Shailesh R. Parikh) Institute of Computer Technology (GLSICT) and GLS (I & R K Desai)

Institute of Computer Applications (GLSICA) under its GLS CSI student branches hosted the

State Level Computer Society of India Student Convention for the students of state of Gujarat at

GLS Campus. The theme of the convention was “Software Defined Paradigms”.

The objective of the convention was to provide a platform for the dynamic young students of

BCA, BSc (IT), BSc (CS), BE, MCA and MSc (IT) to showcase their technical skills. The events

organized during the convention were App-O-Mania, C Programming – Relay, Web Design Idol,

Duke - The Java Mascot, IT Quiz and IT Rangavalli. Total 175 students from across the state

participated in the event with great enthusiasm.

Dr. B.H. Joshi, Registrar, Gujarat Law Society, blessed the event.

Shri Sanjay Parikh, Vice President & Head – ICT, Panamax Infotech Ltd., in his keynote address introduced the students to the field of Software Defined Networks.

13. A Regional Round of “5th National Discover Thinking Quiz for Young Learners” for Region-III of Computer Society of India was held at Bhaikaka Bhavan, Law Garden, Ahmedabad on 10th February, 2015 Computer Society of India – Ahmedabad Chapter has organized a Regional Round of “5th National

Discover Thinking Quiz for Young Learners” for Region-III of Computer Society of India at Bhaikaka

Bhavan, Law Garden, Ahmedabad on Tuesday 10th February, 2015. The event was supported by

Institution of Engineers (IE), Gujarat Electronics & Software Industries Association (GESIA) and Gujarat

Innovation Society (GIS).

Around 21 teams (42 participants) from different schools took part for the Quiz Competition. Quiz was

organized for students who are studying in or between std. 6th and std. 9th. Mr. Bharat Patel, Past

Chairman, CSI Ahmedabad Chapter welcomed the host, experts, dignitaries, school teachers, students

and their parents. Dr Bhushan Trivedi, Director, GLSICT and Past Chairman, CSI Ahmedabad served as

host of the event, before starting the event he brief the rules of the quiz competition to the students.

The competition was divided in two rounds. The preliminary first round was consist of Objective Test.

Students were given 15 minutes for 25 questions. And at the end of the round one total six teams were

qualified for the last and final round of the quiz.

Between first and second round a plenary session on “Information Security for You” was arranged. Dr.

Haresh Bhatt Sr. Scientist, SAC-ISRO and Mr. Jigar Raval Engineer, PRL gave a short session on Cyber

Crime and Cyber Security.

In final round of quiz was divided in three sub-rounds Straight Round, Passing Round and Rapid Fire

(Buzzer) Round. The quiz was judged by Ms Prerna Agrawal, Faculty, GLSICT, Ahmedabad. Result was as

mentioned below

The event was attended by more than 150 students across all the student branches of Ahmedabad, OB

& MC members of the chapter, few life & senior members, fellows and patrons. Invited speaker, Dr.

Bhushan Trivedi has presented his views about information security with the audience. Mr. Ajay Nawani

has given the interesting insights about how to prevent your mobile being hacked. Both the expert

lecture has been followed by interesting Q&A. In the concluding session CSI- Ahmedabad chapter has

felicitated Mr. Bharat Patel, CTO, Yudiz Solution Pvt. Ltd & Ex-chairman, CSI-AC and Mr. Mahendra

Sharma, CTO, Nichetech Solution Pvt. Ltd for sponsoring the School Student Quiz Competition and

Student Project Competition respectively. The event was anchored by Dr. Sandeep Vasant, Hon.

Secretary, CSI – Ahmedabad Chapter. Dr. Sandeep Vasant has proposed the vote of thanks to the invited

speakers, distinguished guests, audience and OB &MC members of CSI for joining the CSI Day

III was organized by CSI Ahmedabad Chapter at Seminar Hall, Chapter Office, Ahmedabad on 18th March, 2015

The regional round of Computer Society of India Young IT Professional Award for region – III was organized by CSI Ahmedabad Chapter at Seminar Hall, Chapter Office, Centur Building, Vijay Cross Roads, Ahmedabad on Wednesday, 18th March, 2015 at 4:30pm onwards. The YITP Award is not just a competition but it provides an excellent platform to the young IT professionals, researchers and organizations to develop innovative ideas for solving real life problems using either personally or by team work. The event was graced by panel of judges from Industry, Academia and Research organizations, are Shri Ashish Shrivastav, System Dynamics (Software) Pvt.
