Gomasio (Sesame Salt) Goma is the Japanese name for sesame. Used extensively in macrobiotic cooking, Gomasio is an excellent replacement for salt. Our essence sticks are manufactured in the holy land of Shivpuri, Akkalkot in India. Great care has been taken to select the finest quality sandalwood, aromatic herbs, frankincense, tree gums and other aromatic oils. These are hand blended into a paste form (masala) and are hand-rolled onto bamboo sticks or hand moulded into small cones.

Brewing Instructions: Bring water to boil, turn off heat, add herbal mix, use 1 tsp per cup and let steep for 5 minutes or longer. Cover the pot or cup with a lid to preserve the essential oils of the infusion. Strain and serve plain, or with sugar. Tastes very refreshing served with lemon and or ginger. A great summer drink when served chilled.
