Throughout the year I try to remember many important safety and hygiene skills that I have learned.

January (Enero)

In January, before I go out and play I bundle up with my coat, hat, and gloves to stay warm (quedarme en calor).

February (Febrero)

In February, I brush my hair and teeth two (Dos) times a day to practice healthy habits (hábitos sanos).

March (Marzo)

In March, when I ride in the car I always remember to wear my seatbelt (cinturón de segurid) to stay safe (Seguro).

April (Abril)

In April, I take a bath (un baño) everyday and always remember to use lots of bubbles to stay clean (limpia)!

May (Mayo)

In May, while playing outside I always remember to drink lots of water (agua) to stay hydrated (hidrato).

June (Junio)

In June, I always remember to wear the right protective gear (artículos deportivos) while playing outside to stay safe (seguro).

July (Julio)

In July, when I go on family vacations, I remember to wear my sunscreen (bloqueador solar) to protect my skin (proteger mi piel).

August (Agosto)

In August, I always look both ways before I cross the street (cruzar el calle) to get on the school bus.

September (Septiembre)

In September, I always wear my helmet (llevo mi casco) while riding my bicycle to prevent a head injury.

October (Octubre)

In October, after trick ‘r treating I always check my candy (inspecciono mis dulces) to make sure it is properly sealed.

November (Noviembre)

In November, I prevent the spread of the flu by coughing in my elbow (tos en mi codo).

December (Diciembre)

In December, I always remember to wash my hands (lavar mis manos) before eating to prevent myself from getting sick.

Now that I have shared my safety and hygiene skills with you, I hope that you will try them too!

Let’s review!
