John Solomon Williams, Sr., better known as "Buddy" was born on

October 21, 1948 to the late Council and Bessie Williams. He attended

school at Beck branch in Reno, GA. John accepted Christ and was bap-

tized at Bryant Chapel M.B. in Reno, GA.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Gloria of Cairo,

GA, one daughter Teressa Williams of Cairo, GA; five sons: Kevin

Williams, John Williams, Jr., Council Odell Williams, Sterling Williams

all of Cairo, GA and Brad Williams of New Orleans, LA; two step-sons:

Anthony Bennett, Willie Jones both of Cairo, GA; three sisters: Lizzie

Beth Williams, Bernice Pope, and Bobbie Jean Brown (LZ) all of Cairo,

GA, three sisters-in-law: Mary Haynes, Bernice Copeland, and Lottie

Mae Lamont all of Cairo, GA one brother-in-law, Willie Lee Walker of

Chicago, IL; 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a devoted niece

Vann Allen, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

John was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
