    1. OVERVIEW The mission of this Australian company will be to produce a new technology that

provides clean, healthy air to the people of China. A 6 month program of creating 3

working prototypes of the technology along with independent laboratory tests that

prove the technology works to at least 9! will be instigated over that time.

    2. THE PROBLEM There is a dire, immediate, heath !eed i! Chi!a t"da# because 6, Chinese

    people die annually "their #overnment $gures % &orld 'ealth (rg says ).*m+ as a

direct result of their air pollution % more speci$cally, a result of inhaling the noious

vehicle ehausts. The former is absorbed directly into the bloodstream, primarily linked

to causing four diseases % chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung cancer, strokes

and coronary heart diseases==.T'< number one pollution problem that Chinese

authorities see. The Chinese wear face masks when outside, but according to the

    Chinese Consumer (rgani>ation, 1/! of those are rated ine?ective. @ei @imin, vice

chairman of the China Tetile Commerce Association, the vast ma5ority of face masks

.S"-ti"! 2 0 placed on China;s city streets a large tower will take in polluted

air, clean it, and release it back as a 99.9! clean product, directly onto the faces of the

passersby walking on the pavement % ideal for street areas, clean air havens, factories,

    school yards, outdoor cafKteria, central park and garden sJuares. Called the 8Air (asis;

% the structure is a vertical bo container, made of high gradeDhigh impact

polyarylamide plastics, which is Lame, water and chemical resistant, with a high tensile

strength to withstand vehicle accidents and public vandalism. The Air(asis pushes

clean air out at shoulder height to the street. A ma5or factor being evaluated in the

environmental and technical science area, is an 8arti$cial atmospheric ceiling; above

the tower and surrounding area which creates a 8roo$ng; lock down space for the

cleaned air below. 4ei5ing City 5ust by itself has a potential 2 million units.

oMces, shopping centres. any Chinese homes don;t have interior air cleaners and

su?er almost the same pollution level as that out on the street. Current air cleaners on

the market are American made with American prices attached % well above the

    a?ordability of the everyday person.
