STEP 3 The next step is to cover the ornament with scrunched paper.

This will create padding and protection. You don’t have to scrunch the paper that tightly, in fact it is better to have some air in it. Once covered with the scrunched paper, wrap with another layer of paper

and finally fold over the sides of the packing paper and wrap into a parcel.

Carefully secure the parcel with some tape.

STEP 4 Next place the ornament standing end up into the box. (Never place an ornament on its side). Depending on the size of the box and the ornament, you can then use all sorts of soft packing such as cushions, pillows, towels etc. to pad out the sides of the box. Just be mindful how much weight you are placing into it.

STEP 5 Finally, add another layer of scrunched paper to create a top layer in the box. Then fold over the top flaps and secure with the packing tape. The contents should not be rattling or moving. Label the box with its contents, and the room from which it came.

That’s it, your large china ornament safely packed and ready for transportation to your new home.
