New York State’s Border Infrastructure New York has 17 land border crossings and

four rail only border crossings. Three of the ten largest crossings with

Canada in terms of all trade: Buffalo-Niagara Falls (3rd) Champlain – Rouses Point (4th) Alexandria Bay (9th)

New York crossings carried 22% of the value of all trade with Canada.

for Canadian travelers. New York State accounted for the most

tourism travel to Canada 517,000 jobs directly tied to cross-border

trade in New York in 2010 More than 70 percent of the Canadian/US

trade that crossed New York State’s borders had an origin or destination in another state.
