unsupervised in remote areas in the shop or field in remote arctic environments• Focused, energetic and organized with superior attention to detail and acts with a sense of urgency

when required• Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostics, failure mode analysis and defect identification skills. Prior NDT

experience will be highly regarded• Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions and to interpret technical, procedures, design

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives and programs.

• Performing all tasks safely with the capability of following all procedures and policies set out by the employer • Executing the assembly and disassembly, repair and overhaul of heavy equipment implements such as buckets, clams, blades, truck

trays as well as other associated tasks. • Capable of successfully completing all skill tests required to demonstrate quality welding and fabrication skills when requested

• Preventative maintenance focus with strong inspection and defect identification skills • Strong focus on housekeeping in the field, in the shop and any other work areas. Cleaning work areas and equipment as

required. • Safe use and operation of CA Gouging, welding using SMAW/FCAW/GMAW/GTAW processes, plasma cutters, oxy/

acetylene cutting equipment, Ironworkers, band saws, automated cutting equipment, machining equipment, presses, threading equipment, line boring tools, drill presses and other associated fabrication and construction equipment as

required. • Welding, cutting, grinding, measuring, calibration, layout, fabrication as well as other related activities required

while performing maintenance and overhauls on heavy/medium/light equipment fleets and facilities. • Using alignment equipment, completing service reports & work orders, and detailed equipment inspections

as required.
