MANET- Self-configuring network of mobile routers connected

by wireless links .

Routing- Routing is the process of selecting paths in a network along which we want to send network traffic.

Stability of link is given by probability to persist for a certain time span.

ZBR Protocol partitions the network area into non overlapping square zones .

There is a zone-head in each zone that acts as a router in the network .

Zone ID = (a, b) a= (Location.x- 0rigin.x) DIV Zone-size b= (Locati0n.y- 0rigin.y) DIV Zone-size Zone-Size =(L/(2√2)) x (L/(2√2)) Where L is the transmission range of the

LRP scheme predicts the long-lived routes based on the history of link lifetime.

The longevity factor is an index of link stability used to predict the long-lived route.

LF stands for Longevity factor ∂a

LTRx stands for Link lifetime record of node x .I(i) stands for indication function .a - age of certain link of node x

Li gives this protocol which based on region stability.

Region stability of node i ’s local region S(Ni) can be computed—

Ni (t1) -number of nodes in the local region of node i at time t1 .

Ni (t2) - -number of nodes in the local region of node i at time t2 .05/01/12 11

This protocol considering the QoS parameters such as bandwidth efficiency, link stability and power metric .

Q-table has been maintained which is dynamic in nature . Size of Q-Table of a node is determined by the number of destination nodes and neighbor nodes.

Discount Factor is calculated as—

CA-AOMDV) uses the channel averageNon fading duration as a routing metric to select stable links for path discovery.

It applies a preemptive handoff strategy to maintain reliable connections by exploiting channel state information.

Route discovery is done with the ANFD time.

CA-AOMDV uses predicted signalstrength to trigger a handoff before a fade occurs
