Call to Confession and Prayer of Confession (Unison)O Lord our God, you call us to work for a world where all will be fed and have dignity, but we find ourselves distracted by our own desires. You call us to seek justice and peace, but we are satisfied with injustice and discord. You call us to bring liberty to the oppressed, but we do not insist on freedom for all. Forgive us, O Lord. Turn us to your will by the power of your Spirit, so that all may know your justice and peace; through Jesus Christ, your Son, our Savior.

Silent Prayers of Confession Worshippers seek and reflect on God’s forgiveness in their own lives.

Assurance of God’s ForgivenessOne: Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. The old life has gone; a new life has begun. Friends, hear the good news:All: In Jesus Christ we are forgiven. Thanks be to God. Alleluia! Amen.

Response to Forgiveness Sing to Me Andrea Ramsey Sing to me, sing to me something of sunlight and bloom. Sing no more of sorrow and gloom, Sing no more of the world’s noise and strife, sing to the beauty and brightness of life! Sing to me, sing to me, sing to me. Sing of the blossoms that open in spring. How the sweet flowers blow, and the long lichens cling, and though winter is round about me, There are bright summers and springs yet to be. Sing to me, sing to me, sing to me.

Offertory SentencesWorshippers are invited to use the “Give” link on the livestream page, the Tithe.ly church app, or mail a check to support the mission and ministry of Westminster. Thank you!

Offertory Seed that in Earth Is Dying Harald Herresthal, arr. Bradley EllingboeSeed that in earth is dying grows into ears of grain. Grapes that are crushed in the vessel turn into golden wine. God, through this mystery grant us faith in our deepest darkness, life in our night and death. We were baptized in Jesus, into his death and grave, to resurrection’s promise: praise and eternal life. Heaven’s own praises begin here where you yourself are near us, deep in our night and death.Seed that in earth is dying rises to bear much fruit. Christ, as we meet at your table, give us the bread of life. Lord, we do thank and adore you! Unceasing praise of the ages rises from night and death.

Prayer of Dedication for the Offerings Received
