In 1953 a dreamer and hardworking spanish viticulturist named Teodoro Urcelay Iturbe settled in the town of Olivar, located in the heart of the central valley of Chile.

His passion for viticulture and his rooted convic-tions were the basis to the establishment of his first cultivated fields located behind a rustic wine cellar with a 200,000 liter capacity.

Among aged chilean native wooden barrels a long winemaking history was forged, a history related to grape musts and wines of great quality, which was inherited by two family generations.

Nowadays his grandchildren have kept this rooted tradition, but adding the latest technologies that have transformed the little wine cellar full of dreams into an automatized and operational industrial plant with a capacity of 45,000,000 liter.

Our mision is to be nationally and internationally recognized as leaders in production technologies and high quality standars that are reflected in our products, but at the same time respecting the enviroment and the current legal regulation.

Technology


Urcelay Hnos. Ltda. has moderns equipments that make his processes more efficient, thereby obtai-ning wines and concentrated musts that keep intacts their natural properties and authenticity.

• Automated grinding of raw materials• Pasteurizated and aseptic musts packaging• Thermo maceration grapes process.• Thermovinification• Juices Ultrafiltration System.• Controled Temperature Tanks• Neumatic grapes pressing systems • Wine and Juice Tangential Systems.• European technology evaporators with 700,000

liters/day capacity.• Advanced technology in laboratory analysis• Finished product storage in stainless steel tanks• Total storage capacity for 45,000,000 liters

All these technological advantages allow Urcelay Hnos. to process more than 70,000,000 Kg. of grapes annually with a nominal production of 20,000,000 wine liters and 12,000 tons of concen-trated grape musts.

Certification


All our musts elaboration processes are certified under the HACCP NCH 2861-2004 standard and we are currently in the process of implementing the BRC, IFS and ISO 22000 standard, to be consistent with our permanent search for continuous impro-vement.

AgriculturalProject


Our company has a prominent and stable group of wines and tables grapes producers, with whom we work together throughout the season, to obtain quality raw material with high technical rate, with which our wines and musts are elaborated entirely.

In addition, we have stablished our own agricultural project led by renowned professionals. This proyect has over 500 hectares settle in 4 vineyards, technically and strategically distributed in central valley of Chile.

Urcelay has added into its broad range of products, the wine bottling.

This service has been materialized through a strategic alliance with a modern winnery of our region that count with most advanced technology in wine bottling.

This advantageous commercial alliance allows us to offer wine bottles packaged in boxes of 6 x 750 cc and boxes of 12 x 750 cc; for customers that require it or want to contact us on behalf of third parties.

Our team is made up of experienced professionals in viticulture, administration, and international trade; they are passionate about wine and concen-trated musts, respectful of the agricultural world experience and constantly looking to improve our production processes.
