A top-level domain (TLD), sometimes referred to as a top-level domain name, is the last part of an Internet Domain name, that is, the group of letters that follow the final dot of any domain name. For example…..in the URL…..www.google.com com (or COM) is the Top Level Domain. TLD’s are generally organized into categories that are established by organizations who oversee management of the Internet.
