A top-level domain (TLD), sometimes referred to as a top-level domain name, is the last part of an Internet Domain name, that is, the group of letters that follow the final dot
of any domain name.
For example…..in the URL…..www.google.comcom (or COM) is the Top Level Domain.
TLD’s are generally organized into categories that are established by organizations who oversee
management of the Internet.
Here are a few of the most commonly used Top Level Domain Names
.milMilitary
The .mil TLD is limited to use by the U.S. military.
