Our off-site modular buildings solution offers fast and realistic timescales, supported by an experienced and dedicated project manager, so you’ll always have a trusted point of contact at every step of your project.

Providing the complete end-to-end solution, our off-site modular solution gives you all the assistance you need, under one roof. From initial consultation with our experts, to manufacture, groundworks, installation and sign-off, our team take care of every individual element of your project.

This approach allows us to accurately estimate and control costs, so we remain within your budget, and work to the timeframe you need.

THE COMPLETEPACKAGE

REGULATION AND PLANNING COMPLIANCE

All Elite Systems buildings are designed and manufactured to meet relevant building regulations. We can also consult on planning applications to secure required permissions.

MANUFACTURE AND INTERNAL FIT-OUT

Our buildings leave our factory as close to finished as possible, with just the finishing touches completed onsite. We offer a wide range of external finishes and internal fit-out options – from decorating to electrics.

GROUNDWORKS

We work from the groundworks up – offering solutions including foundations, site preparations and utility connections.

DELIVERY & INSTALLATION

We work with you to schedule your delivery, plan installation and hand-over, accounting for site logistics, ensuring a seamless completion to the project.

FLEXIBILITY

We work with our customers to help create modular buildings with unique character and design features. With our extensive range of customised options and fixtures, your building can be an impressive representation of your organisation’s personality.

The exterior of your building can be customised with a wide range of colours and finishes so that it reflects your brand, or simply to ensure a sympathetic fit with the surrounding area.

Careful use and design of windows, sun pipes, and rooflights allows in natural light and enhances the appearance of the building,

while canopies, shelter, roof designs, fascias, and vinyl wrapping can transform the exterior.

Internally, we can create a working environment to suit your needs, making use of lighting options, window blinds, suspended ceilings, glazed partitioning, and a wide choice of floor coverings. At Elite, we can also accommodate underfloor heating, data and networking requirements, climate control systems and fire or security alarms. We can also provide the finishing touches, with a full range of interior furnishings.

We’re committed to sustainability: our modern methods of construction and modular buildings reduce the use of energy and valuable resources whilst minimising waste and cutting carbon emissions.

We have gained recognition for our high standards of environmental management and commitment to ongoing environmental responsibility with accreditation to the ISO 14001 international standard.

We work hard across all business operations to recycle and manage waste with the aim

of achieving ‘zero to landfill’. We implement sustainable transport policies and require staff to limit energy consumption.

Wherever possible the materials we use within our manufacturing processes are locally sourced and from sustainable sources to minimise our carbon footprint.

In 2019 we partnered with Trees for Life, a conservation charity dedicated to rescuing the ancient Caledonian Forest in the Scottish Highlands.

In the 25 years since it was founded, Treesfor Life has planted 1.5 million trees as partof a long-term vision to save the forest, which provides a vital habitat to rare wildlife, such as the reintroduced red squirrel.

We have a ‘corporate grove’ in the CaledonianForest, and we have committed to planting new trees in our sponsored grove every time we deliver a modular project – helping to save an ecologically important part of our country.

GREEN DESIGN

As well as undertaking efforts to reduce environmental impact of the construction process, at Elite we offer a variety of features designed to ensure your building has a low environmental cost throughout its life cycle.

SOLAR THERMAL HEATING Harness energy from the sun to generate heating and to provide hot water and reduce energy bills.

GREEN ROOFS These roofs provide a number of environmental benefits such as providing a natural habitat for wildlife whilst providing high levels of thermal insulation to improve the sustainability of your building.

RAINWATER HARVESTING Using rainwater harvesting for jobs such as flushing the toilet eliminates the need to use fresh drinking water from the mains and offers a significant reduction in the total water usage..

THE PEOPLE FOR MODULAR BUILDINGS 13

BIOMASS BOILER A carbon-neutral heating system using by-products of the timber industry like wood chips or pellets, a biomass system delivers energy which reduces CO2 emissions released in the combustion process when compared to energy generated from fossil fuels.

SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAICS Convert sunlight into electricity through the use of photovoltaic (PV) systems, which can be roof-mounted or integrated into the roof or walls of your building. An installation with a peak output of 1kW can displace around 0.3 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year.

WIND POWER The use of wind power is recognised as being amongst the most cost-effective renewable energy technologies. Systems for smaller buildings typically have peak outputs of up to 6kW, reducing carbon emissions by more than four tonnes per annum.

GROUND SOURCE HEAT PUMPS That is, using the Earth’s temperature to provide heating, cooling and hot water. A closed system circulates below ground and transfers energy to a wet heating system with significantly reduced energy consumption and reduced carbon emissions.

CUSTODIAL & EMERGENCY SERVICES

Expanding or creating space within custodial facilities presents a unique challenge, with health and safety, and speed of works, both being paramount.

Working with an experienced bespoke modular building solutions supplier, like Elite Systems, helps custodial providers get the right result from their new building.

Our experienced team has the knowledge and expertise to help you avoid the most common pitfalls organisations experience

when procuring custodial facilities. Our modern methods of construction mean that your custodial space will be manufactured off-site resulting in a safer, more quality-controlled build and less disruption to day-to-day operations.

Modular construction also provides an efficient, much-needed building solution for the ‘blue light’ services. Finances remain tight for emergency services, and modular solutions can help decision makers to maintain and improve building infrastructure without undue disruption.

FAST MOVERSWe can navigate the specialist requirements

of the transport and logistics sectors.

TRANSPORT & LOGISTICS

The UK’s transport and logistics sector is moving at a fast pace: with the government committing to long-term investment in the UK’s transport infrastructure, there is a need for innovative design and build solutions to support this impetus for change.

Elite Systems has developed a range of building solutions to provide bright, spacious and energy-efficient working environments, to quickly and efficiently to meet the demands of your

business. Our off-site construction methods mean buildings can be built and installed up to 70% quicker than traditional methods of building, and as they are relocatable they offer excellent flexibility and return on investment.

From offices, canteens, and gatehouses, to security centres, reception centres, and control rooms, an Elite modular building can provide the ideal working environment.

16

EDUCATION

Buildings for education must be cost-effective, flexible in their uses, of the highest quality and most importantly, provide a safe and quality environment for learning.

At Elite, we have over 30 years’ experience in providing creative modular solutions for nurseries, schools, colleges and universities, and we’re well-versed in working within budgets and to demanding schedules.

Educational facilities may not know their intake numbers until relatively late in the year, which means that modular classrooms are the ideal solution, offering the ability to control costs and turn around the construction process quickly.

And with the ability to create bespoke classroom spaces to match our customers’ exact requirements, there are no limits placed on design or performance.

LEARNING CURVESBespoke modular classrooms

THE PEOPLE FOR MODULAR BUILDINGS 17

HEALTHCARE

As the UK population grows older, the country’s healthcare estate is ageing too – and is in need of both more space and more modern facilities.

The government is committing to increasing funding for the NHS by in excess of £20 billion each year, so now is the perfect time to develop and expand UK healthcare facilities. Whether the project is a new hospital ward, A&E medical centre, operating theatre, outpatient clinic or

consulting room, we create bespoke solutions to support the NHS and health and care workforce, in their ambitions to transform services.

Our modular healthcare solutions make the best possible use of available space to offer spacious, flexible, pleasant and above all safe clinical environments for patients and medical professionals alike.

EASING THE PRESSUREModern modular healthcare facilities

are a cost effective solution.

18

RESIDENTIAL

At Elite, we pride ourselves on being able to work with our customers to create a modular solution for any requirement: that includes residential housing.

The UK’s existing housing stock is under pressure, and modular construction is widely believed to be part of the solution, and we can work with local authorities to develop houses to any specification – with all the benefits off-site construction can offer.

Our bespoke approach ensures flexibility: we can manufacture single units or mews-style homes, and work closely with architects, developers and local authorities to ensure that the property is of the highest quality, meets planning conditions, matches the local character of any given area and provides an excellent home for the end user.

LIVING SPACEOur bespoke offering gives local

authorities plenty of options.

THE PEOPLE FOR MODULAR BUILDINGS 19

UTILITIES

Elite Systems has a wealth of experience working with utility sites across the UK. We can provide offices, rest-rooms, canteens, security kiosks, storage and general project facilities to the exacting standards required by power stations or water treatment plants.

We create buildings with plenty of open space and light to provide staff with a pleasant working environment, with all the necessary welfare facilities for a large workforce.

Our modular buildings can be installed in single- or multi-storey options, with unlimited design options, and a range of payment options to provide cost certainty and flexibility.

At Elite Systems, we have the expertise to install permanent-build quality buildings in just a few weeks with minimal impact on the existing site and operations.

LINKING UP WITH UTILITIESWhatever the requirements, we can

create pleasant working environments.

20

COMMERCIAL

For commercial projects, achieving a quick turnaround and controlling costs are vital: that’s what makes modular construction the perfect choice. We can help create more commercial space on time, within budget and to a high standard of quality.

Our modern method of construction means that your new building will be manufactured off-site resulting in a safer, more quality-controlled build and less disruption to day-to-day operations.

Our experience allows us to confidently provide all of the services required to achieve the desired result for our clients whether that’s a single storey modular building or a multi-storey facility. We can accommodate for bespoke features, sizes and designs – the options for improving commercial facilities for your staff and customers are almost limitless.

PROJECT FOCUS

Hermitage Primary School required a classroom solution that could be in place within weeks – and we were able to deliver.

We worked with the school West Berkshire Council to create a modular education building that perfectly suited the needs of the pupils, creating a flexible classroom with multi-functional indoor space. The brief called for ease of cleaning and tidying, so we installed vinyl flooring that can withstand messy activities, and devised an uncomplicated layout so the room is easy for staff to clear.

Greg Bowman, property project officer at West Berkshire Council, said: “Working with Elite Systems was a very positive, fuss-free experience. The team performed exactly as they promised us they would, ran a safe site, and delivered the project early.

Communication with the site team and manager was excellent, and Elite took a proactive approach to helping resolve any issues that arose. The new classroom has provided a much loved space that the Council and the school are both very happy with.”

The modular building features lighting and climate control to ensure it is warm in winter and cool in summer, and there are spacious storage and toilet facilities, including an accessible WC, built into the design.

Bi-folding doors lead to the playground, and create a stand-out feature: headteacher Gill Turner described the space as an ‘inside-outside’ classroom, with classes able to pass seamlessly between the indoor environment and the adjacent outdoor play area. The extensive glazing also offers plenty of natural light.

Modular classrooms can be the perfect solution for nurseries, schools, academies or higher education facilities in need of high-quality teaching space that won’t cause disruption.
