Subject=Check%20out%20ALOHA.com) A Unique Meditation Technique, Straight from the Hawaiian Islands I was drawn to the Hawaiian islands 12 years ago, before my last year in college, while I was soul-searching for my real purpose. I studied anthropology at UIC and have always been intrigued by island cultures and lifestyles. I always dreamt of Hawaii as a rural bit of heaven on Earth that we could fly into on a seaplane and land next to bungalows on the beach, greeted by girls dancing hula and ukulele music. Well I guess it was like that here forty-some years ago. Some things are still as you would imagine—rainbows, hula, and the aloha spirit are still here to welcome people and inspire the world to live in peace, love, and harmony. It is that aloha spirit that my heart fell in love with, and that kept me here all these years, where I have started raising a family in the foothills of the West Maui Mountains. The Hawaiian islands have shared with me the arts of surfing, kitesurfing, and most importantly meditating. I practice the “alohamana technique” of meditation established by the Hawaiian teacher Peter Nebres. Alohamana can modify and influence your reality if you know how to pull in your power through this simple practice of meditation. How to Practice Alohamana Meditation 1. Inhale slowly while silently saying, "alo." 2. At the same time, focus your energy in your heart as if there were a spinning golden ball of energy inside or surrounding it. 3. Exhale quickly as you silently say, "ha!" 4. After the exhale, pause and silently say a positive command like "Make my keys appear now!" Always say the word "now" to reinforce the idea that now is the moment of power. 5. At the same time, expand the energy outward from your heart, or if it's directed at a person, surround them with the energy. 6. Repeat four times. 7. Breathe normally and silently repeat "mahalo" (thank you in Hawaiian) three times. I practice this meditation as often as necessary and have seen its results. I hope your life can be touched by Alohamana as well. Photo Credit: Shutterstock Verda Okman See Bio (/shop/experts/verda-okman)

A Unique Meditation Technique,Straight from the Hawaiian IslandsI was drawn to the Hawaiian islands 12 years ago, before my last year in college, while I was soul-searching for my real purpose. Istudied anthropology at UIC and have always been intrigued by island cultures and lifestyles. I always dreamt of Hawaii as a rural bitof heaven on Earth that we could fly into on a seaplane and land next to bungalows on the beach, greeted by girls dancing hula andukulele music. Well I guess it was like that here forty-some years ago. Some things are still as you would imagine—rainbows, hula, and the aloha spirit are still here to welcome people and inspire the world to live in peace, love, and harmony.

It is that aloha spirit that my heart fell in love with, and that kept me here all these years, where I have started raising a family in thefoothills of the West Maui Mountains. The Hawaiian islands have shared with me the arts of surfing, kitesurfing, and most importantlymeditating. I practice the “alohamana technique” of meditation established by the Hawaiian teacher Peter Nebres. Alohamana canmodify and influence your reality if you know how to pull in your power through this simple practice of meditation.

How to Practice Alohamana Meditation

1. Inhale slowly while silently saying, "alo."

2. At the same time, focus your energy in your heart as if there were a spinning golden ball of energy inside or surrounding it.

3. Exhale quickly as you silently say, "ha!"

4. After the exhale, pause and silently say a positive command like "Make my keys appear now!" Always say the word "now" toreinforce the idea that now is the moment of power.
