A WARM WELCOME

We are very pleased to an-nounce the appointment of Rabbi Michael S. Jay as the spiritual leader of the Jewish Community Center of Long Beach Island. Since September, Rabbi Jay has lead our congrega-tion's Shabbat and Holiday services following the re-tirement of our beloved late Rabbi Emeritus, Rabbi Ja-cob S. Friedman Z"L.

Rabbi Jay, raised in Mon-sey, New York, earned his BS in Broadcast and Film from Boston University and received his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University. He had been practicing law for about 15 years when, after beginning to study and teach Torah, he felt the irre-sistibly strong desire to pur-sue a career in the Rabbin-ate. PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

The period from October 29 through November 27 was a sad, hard time for our JCC. It started with Super-storm SANDY; continued with the LBI evacuation, power and gas ser-vice lost, and the requirement to to-tally close and vacate our JCC build-ing; and ended with the death of our beloved Rabbi Jack. You have al-ready been informed about details of these events, so I won’t repeat them here. Rabbi Michael Jay continued to serve as our guest Rabbi, and we were able to resume all activities at JCC in December.

And now for the GOOD news. We have contracted with Rabbi Jay to be our permanent Rabbi for an initial 2 year term covering calendar years 2013 and 2014. He will come to LBI just about every weekend and holi-day to conduct Shabbat and Holiday services, and when here will be available to meet, teach, advise, counsel, or console our members. He will also work with our Religious School staff and students. When necessary Rabbi Jay will also come to LBI at other times to meet with members, conduct religious services, and participate in JCC functions.

I want to give a big THANK YOU for a job well done to the Rabbi Selec-tion Committee of Harold Farin, Lynn Berkowitz, Mark Chazin, Carole Nun-berg, Rose Valentine, and Tiger Wolpert. While it was a committee effort, special acknowledgement goes to Harold who chaired the com-mittee and spent countless hours in working with Rabbi Jay to finalize the contract.

Rabbi Jay is no stranger to us. As our guest Rabbi for about 5 months, including the High Holidays, every-one who has met him and Sheri was favorably impressed with them, and enjoyed his services and messages. Many also participated in the study sessions he conducted after many Saturday morning services or at oth-er events. I know I am, and I hope you are, excited about having and working with Rabbi Jay as our JCC Rabbi.

Additional information about Rabbi Jay can be found elsewhere in this Bulletin. We welcome Rabbi Jay and his wife Sheri to the JCC, and look forward to a long and pleasant asso-ciation. Rabbi Jay has great ideas to further grow our congregation, but he cannot do it alone, nor just with ac-tive members of the Board of Trus-tees. It will require involvement and participation by many, and I ask each of you to get more involved and to say YES when asked to be part of a particular activity. It is only by the efforts of many will we be able to accomplish all that we and Rabbi Jay hope to do as we change from a mostly summer congregation to a year-round active one.

And finally, my usual reminder about the financial needs of our congrega-tion. Please send your dues in, and support such activities as prayer book fund, Rabbi Jack memorial fund, and our ‘Burn the Mortgage’ project. Also, we have just ordered additional Yahrzeit Boards, so we will now have plenty of room for the placement of individual Yahrzeit plates to memorialize departed loved ones.

SHALOM;

Don Pripstein, President

To Our Congregation:

Dear JCC Family,

Thank you all for making the JCC such a comfortable home for us. Jack loved coming onto the island and feeling at peace. This wonderful Rabbi truly loved you—his congregation and his head was always work-ing for the center’s betterment.

We, the family are truly overwhelmed by the tremendous outpouring of love, whether it be in dona-tions, food, calls, cards or hugs. As Rabbi Jack touched you, know that you have touched us, his family.

With Love,

Allie—for myself, the kids and grandchildren

EULOGY FOR RABBI JACK Given by Lynn Berkowitz at Rabbi Jack’s Funeral

Rabbi Jack Friedman….. Rabbi Jack always had a story whether it was for the High Holiday Service or the Children’s Family Service. It always had a good ending. I have a story for you and it too has a good ending although sad. A story of a young man with a mission for his life to be a spiritual leader to the Jewish people. He sort of grew into the role. He used to tell the children in the religious school about his days as a child in the Yeshiva. He wasn’t the most studious and admitted to playing pranks on the teachers. Because this youthful spirit remained with him, he was a leader that was open to new ideas and changes. By the time he came to us at the JCC he was a seasoned rabbi having retired from this synagogue in Ocean. Retirement was not a word that he wanted in his resume so ten years ago he came to us when we needed him most. He led us like Moses into the “promised land”. He was a staunch supporter of the rebuilding of our 50 year old facility. He was there last March when he helped lead the congregation into the new “Miracle on the Boulevard” our beautiful new building. He had lent his experience to the committee making suggestions and recommendations. His experi-ence and support were immeasurable in the success of this venture.

He carried off his disability during this last year and a half with grace and savories faire. Who can forget his jokes about the patch he was forced to wear over one eye so he could read without double vision. Purim will not be Purim without Rabbi Jack and Ali in matching costumes like Raggedy Ann and Andy or the year he came as a gorilla.

The last official act that he did at the JCC was the service for our first three confirmation students in the new building. He also named 2 young students that had never been given their Hebrew names so they would have their Hebrew names before their Bar/Bat Mitzvah. He was truly upset that he could not be there for the first 3 Bar and Bat Mitzvahs in the new Building. Each of them mentioned with pride that Rabbi Jack had started on their parsha. He was someone that anyone could go to no matter what the problem or their age. He was so much a part of our shore community and understood the uniqueness of it. He led the Shabbat on the Beach with reverence for the environment. He was proud to lead the Interfaith Service with the leaders of St. Francis and the other churches on the Island. He was the teacher of so many of our Bar and Bat Mitzvah students, as well as our Adult Education students. He was particularly proud of his conversion statistics. I thought that he was absolutely going to burst with pride the summer he converted 2 families along with a few others for a total of 11 new Jews in our beautiful ocean. Wow!

On a personal note after Harry passed away it was Ali and Rabbi Jack that convinced me that I would have a wonderful new home at the Fairways and I do. Each month I would read with pride his articles in our monthly bulletin. I would listen with pride when my neighbors would tell me how inspirational Rabbi Jack’s arti-cles were. I would quietly say, “That’s my Rabbi Jack.” My story doesn’t come to an end. It goes on in every person whose life he touched. Just like those last 3 Bar and Bat Mitzvah students who first thanked our Rabbi Jack for starting them in their parsha and giving them their Blue Book even when he wasn’t there to hear their praise. He gave us all so much more for he was written in our book of life. This story really doesn’t have a sad ending because Rabbi Jack accomplished what he set out to do and that was to be a spiritual leader and more. Thanks Ali for sharing him with us these last 10 years.

House and Grounds

My name is Mickey Sherry and I am in charge of " House and Grounds". Being responsible for the Temple's House and Grounds is a very diverse job with multi-ple responsibilities. As you would expect there many things that need to be done to keep in pace with the Temple. Some examples are setting up chairs/tables for scheduled events, construct the Succah as well as take it down and just "routine stuff" that needs to be done. In many of these tasks it takes several people to help accomplish. I would like to put together a committee of "Helpers" that I could call when things come up. We would appreciate you volunteering to help with some of these tasks. If interested, PLEASE call me so we can discuss further. My home number is 609.698.3393. Thank You, Mickey

This letter appeared in the January issue of the Jewish Journal of Ocean County.

Dear Editor and Members of the Ocean County Jewish Community,

November 27, 2012 was a sad day for the members of the Jewish Community Center of Long Beach Island. Our beloved rabbi, Jacob S, Friedman, fondly known as “Rabbi Jack”, passed away.

In the ten years that Rabbi Jack was our spiritual leader, the congregation has seen much growth under his guidance. We are now a congregation of 300 families, worshipping in a beautiful, new building. He under-stood the uniqueness of our community: a congregation made up mostly of summer residents but with a core of full-time families living on the island and surrounding mainland and with congregants of varied back-grounds and religious experiences. He embraced those differences and everyone was made to feel welcome. He lent his experience to the rebuild committee, making suggestions and recommendations and we know how proud he was of what was accomplished.

Rabbi Jack will be greatly missed here on Long Beach Island, not just by his congregants but by the clergy and parishioners of the churches he worked with over the years. He will be missed by the children of our congregation, who knew him as their rabbi and by the many congregants who were inspired by his writings, sermons and very special “stories.”

Our hearts go out to his wife, Ali, and their family at this time. They will always be a part of the JCC family.

Sincerely,

The Board of Trustees of the Jewish Community Center of Long Beach Island

JCC CLUB AT THE TD BANK

We need 50 members to join our "JCC Club at the TD Bank". If you are 55+ you can join with a $250 minimum with no service charges. TD will then give us a "donation" based on the average balance of our members. It could be a quarter percent on a checking account, for example. New accounts are welcomed but you can attach an existing account to the "JCC Club" at the TD Bank.

We are just about half way there and have 6 months to go to get the 50 members in our "Club". It is a no-brainer for fund raising. Open an account for your grandchild for $250 and we all bene-fit. It doesn't diminish any of the interest or benefits that you would normally get but we receive a check at the end of the year for a certain percentage based on the average balance of our JCC Club members.

If your TD bank does not recognize this program, contact Treasurer, Lynn Berkowitz, at 609-709-3160

SUPPORT THE JCC of LBI

2013 Membership renewal notices were mailed in December. Our 2013 expenses have al-ready begun so we would appreciate receiving your dues payments as quickly as possible. Your membership information form should be sent with your check. If you haven’t done so yet, please contribute to our annual High Holiday Appeal.

We have also initiated a special fund to help those members that were greatly affected by Su-perStorm SANDY, and a fund to memorialize Rabbi Jack. Other ways to support the congre-gation are through the purchase of prayerbooks, yahrzeit plaques, ads in our Bulletin or Mem-bership Directory, and pavers. In all cases, please let the office know what the contributions are for.

Valentine reported that we should collect $30,000 in outstanding pledges by Dec. 2012. We have now repaid an additional $50,000 to 2 lenders. This leaves a balance of $98,000 in the bank and our debt is currently $200,000.

R. Valentine reported that Phase I of the Capital Campaign is now basically complete. We have no new recent donations except for pavers. Phase II is to “burn the mortgage”. Our goal is to raise $200,000.

J. Shapiro reported that income year to date (YTD) is $206,122 vs. the YTD budget of $138,740. This is mostly explained by an increase over budget in membership dues as well as general fund and prayer book donations. We had unexpected expenses of about $9000 for guest rabbis.

H. Farin, C. Nunberg, L. Berkowitz, D. Pripstein, Mark Chazin, Tiger Wolpert and R. Valentine are on the committee to find a new rabbi.

C. Nunberg reported we sold 394 seats. We received a total of $5,588 for the Book of Remembrance, $37,550 for seats, and $1,400 in new member dues.

D. Pripstein will negotiate a contract for next year’s High Holiday services with Cantor Avi Green.

Given that we only have 4 pre Bar Mitzvah kids in our religious school and after discussion with the Reform Synagogue in Barnegat, it was agreed that we will consolidate our religious school with the Reform Synagogue in Barnegat for one year and the JCC will pay what is needed to make this happen.

E. Levin reported we are planning a Welcome Back Brunch on June 23, 2013 and an Oldies Dinner Dance on June 30 th to kick off the 2013 season. L. Shomer reported that other fundraising events are being discussed. People are needed to help chair these events.

The Gala Sunday night dinner dance was over budget, but the expenses were offset by a large income.

M. Sherry is working on addressing issues in the kitchen and getting the office layout setup which will include buying cabinets for the office.

T. Schwait and J. Riffle reported that we now have 298 members, 251 that are paid up.

We have almost 50 new members this year, and R. Valentine is working on an Ambassador Program in which we will ask seasoned members to partner with new ones to answer questions about the JCC and to involve the new members into the JCC and its activities.

On Sunday, October 7, 2012, we hosted a water station for the 18 mile run. Many members helped. R. Valentine participated in the awards ceremo-ny at St. Francis. Our Jewish flag hung proudly honoring the Jewish athletes killed in Munich in 1972.

A set of 2 new panels, to include an additional 40 memorial plaques, will be offered as a permanent memorial for $6000.

J. Smith reported that the Mah-jongg Tournament with St. Francis will be held on Wed. October 24th at the JCC. The Klezmer concert, which was planned in conjunction with the Surf City Library, will be held on Tuesday, October 16th at the JCC.

BOARD MEETING SUMMARY: November 13, 2012 Attendees: Jackie Avondoglio, Lynn Berkowitz, Harold Farin, Barry Goldman, Richard Morgan, Carole Nunberg, Don Pripstein, Jeri Riffle, Ron Ros-

ner, Toby Schwait, Karen Schwing, Lori Shomer, Judy Smith, Rose Valentine

(Even though the JCC could not be used, and Board members were scattered, it was deemed necessary to have a November meeting, and all 14 participated by phone.)

Hurricane Sandy Reports

Building & Grounds:

D. Pripstein reported that everything in the building survived. Food damage was about $350.

ADT is coming on Thursday to check the fire/burglar alarm system.

Electricity and water has been restored. Gas is expected to be up and running by the end of the week. It was agreed that we will hold off on heating the building with electricity.

We will continue to clean up and keep records for insurance purposes.

Insurance:

H. Farin reported we have filed an insurance claim for both the JCC building and the condo.\

M. Sherry is gathering information for us to use in negotiations on claims.

There is a $1,000 deductible on the JCC building and on the condo. We are not sure if we are going to reach that.

There was flood damage to an outside electrical unit. The electric company came in and repaired it almost immediately. There was flood damage to an outside electrical unit. The electric company came in and repaired it almost immediately.

Office:

J. Riffle reported that the JCC office is operating almost normally out of Marcie Deutsch’s house. Our staff is monitoring emails, mail, making depos-its, etc. They are keeping up with everything that is going on. We owe a debt of gratitude to Marcie for temporarily locating the office in her home.

Religious School:

L. Berkowitz reported that the Hebrew school is operating in conjunction with the reform congregation in Barnegat, but not Sunday school. Midweek classes continue to meet on Tuesdays; Barnegat Rec Center has been offered to us for Sunday Confirmation class until we can return to our building.

Communications:

R. Valentine has done an outstanding job of providing information to members.

R. Valentine reported that St. Francis is not in good condition after the storm. D. Pripstein is going to call Father Steve tomorrow and offer him our assistance,

We received correspondence from the Federation volunteering to replace our prayer books which was not necessary.

A group from North Jersey wants to bring down a work crew of volunteers to help clean up and throw away things that need to be disposed of. A crew could help clean out the condo garage.

R. Valentine plans to send out a communication to the ambassadors this week to get in touch with new members. She will also try to make sure all members are given a call to ask how they are doing.

Other Topics

The board approved a motion to offer Rabbi Michael Jay a 2-year contract. H. Farin will negotiate a contract with Rabbi Jay. The Board also agreed to retain him as a guest Rabbi on a weekly basis until the end of 2012.

D. Pripstein reported that we have a signed contract with Cantor Avi Green for next year’s High Holidays.

Plans will be made for a Hanukah celebration at the JCC. It is important for members to have an opportunity to get together after the storm.

D. Pripstein spoke with Rabbi Jack 2 days ago. He is still in the hospital and will be there indefinitely. They are still doing all kinds of tests.Summary of

BOARD MEETING SUMMARY: December 11, 2012 Attendees: Jackie Avondoglio, Lynn Berkowitz, Harold Farin, Eileen Levin, Richard Morgan, Carole Nunberg, Don Pripstein, Jeri Riffle, Ron Rosner,

Karen Schwing, Jeff Shapiro, Mickey Sherry, Lori Shomer, Judy Smith

J. Shapiro reported that our net income to date was $15,602 which is $260 over what was budgeted, but is $10,228 over last year’s net income for the period January through November.

J. Shapiro reported that as of the end of Nov. 2012, we have $91,282 in the building fund bank account. We will probably release another $50,000 to lenders in January which would leave $150,000 left owed to lenders.

We are establishing a special fund in memory of Rabbi Jack and will consult with Ali Friedman on what to use the money for. It was agreed that memo-rial donations, with the exception of those made to the Rabbi Jack Memorial Fund , will continue to go to our general operating fund to be used as the JCC sees fit

A committee will be formed to discuss the criteria on choosing how to disperse money raised for Super Storm Sandy Special Relief Fund. L. Berkowitz volunteered to be on the committee.

There are still missing documents needed to complete the review of records in preparation for an audit. Some have been lost at George Katz’s house and others at the condo as a result of the hurricane. Current thinking is we will file an audit for 2012 as those records will be complete.

H. Farin reported that negotiations on the contract with Rabbi Jay are in progress. The Rabbi Search Committee consists of H. Farin, L. Berkowitz, R. Valentine, C. Nunberg, Mark Chazin, Tiger Wolpert and Don Pripstein.

H. Farin reported that insurance adjusters are looking at both the condo and the JCC. We don’t know their recommendations yet. If we are not satisfied with the amount from the insurance company, we will consider hiring an independent adjuster.

The 2013 dues letters were prepared and mailed yesterday with the help of J. Smith and JoAnn Levine.

L. Berkowitz reported that the raffle permit application is complete and we can now apply for raffles.

The board agreed to order one double yahrtzeit board with room for 40 name plates.

E. Levin reported that 7 pavers were delivered after the storm and will be installed in the spring.

M. Sherry reported that the JCC building is in the same shape we were in before Hurricane Sandy. In the crawls space the water never got above 8 inches below the floor joists. He will bring people in to evaluate for potential mold problems. He will also investigate the use of shutters that can be put over the stained glass windows for further protection.

M. Sherry reported that alterations have been made, by Klein Brothers, to help the JCC parking lot. The drains from the roof and the pit were redirected to the street and grooves were cut in the sidewalk to help water drain to the street. The pattern of water will be observed and if all is well we can bring back the crushed rock. An extra $100 was spent for a total of $750.

L. Berkowitz reported we have 4 children that attend regular Religious School on Tuesday and 2 that attend at the JCC on Sunday.

Hard copies of the Bulletin were never printed and mailed after the Hurricane. Hard copies will be sent to those members not receiving email communi-cation and will include an insert page noting the death of Rabbi Jack and mention the special funds established (Special Relief Fund and Rabbi Jack Memorial Fund).

Plans will be made for a memorial service for Rabbi Jack in the spring.

J. Smith reported that we had a wonderful Hanukah party at the JCC. Thank you to Lori Sherry, K. Schwing and L. Berkowtiz for organizing it. Rabbi Jay did a little study session.

Upcoming events include mah jongg on Sun. Dec. 16, Jan. 13 and Wednesday afternoons. The JCC will be hosting bridge for the St. Francis group on Thursday afternoons. The JCC will hand out plants to patients at SOMC on Christmas Day.

L. Berkowitz noted that the JCC participated in the menorah lighting at SOMC last Thursday. This Thursday a small group is providing Hanukah cheer to patients at the hospital.

H. Farin noted he was proud of Cliff Farin for putting together the menorah that is outside the JCC.

JCC OF LBI: A BEACON OF LIGHT AFTER SANDY

In the days after Sandy hit our island and the surrounding mainland, our congregants tried to deter-mine how their homes had fared. Some of them found their homes secure and with little damage, others were faced with daunting task of restoring their homes and businesses.

For many of our members, their second concern was for the new JCC of LBI building. They saw the email sent out of the side of the building with the water up to the top of the mailbox. Once back onto the is-land, we were able to report that, except for exterior cleanup, the building came through the storm un-scathed.

Where was everyone? How were their homes? News about when we could get back on the island, where help could be found for restoration and cleanup and other important information was sent out to mem-bers by the JCC email several times a week. We were able to at least stay connected electronically.

In the weeks that followed, residents began to return to their homes to start the cleanup. Many had stayed at friends or relatives, or in shelters and motels. It was a fretful time. Houses were off their founda-tions and there was sand – sometimes many feet high – everywhere. Along the streets, sidewalks were filled with black garbage bags, mattresses, couches, wall board, insulation, and other debris.

In the days that followed, many volunteers from around the country offered their help. A group of vol-unteers from the Ocean County and Greater MetroWest Jewish Federation came to the island with rakes and brooms to help restore the grounds around the synagogue and cleanup the debris in the garage of the rab-bi’s residence. Now that our building was secure, the doors of the JCC of LBI were opened one weekend to welcome the many volunteers who came from Pennsylvania, Delaware and Northern New Jersey to help clean up our island. Over 100 people enjoyed a warm place to rest, food to fill their empty stomachs and a place to freshen up.

On November 30th, five weeks after the storm, we held our first Friday night Shabbat Service. It was quite a reunion. The following week, the office returned to the building from its temporary site on the main-land and on December 9th, Chanukah was celebrated with latkes, gift exchanges and the lighting of meno-rahs. We were back in business.

Ten weeks after Sandy, there are some signs of progress on the island. The debris on the curb for the most part has been picked up but if you look at the windows of many of the homes, you will see that they are empty, stripped down to the studs. Businesses are beginning to re-open, but on the boulevard in Beach Haven, the stores and restaurants are empty, waiting to be restored.

We do not know what future holds for our island and surrounding bay communities. Perhaps the sto-ry of one of our members is an example of the spirit of this special place. Rosie is 93 years old, an active member of the congregation and Sisterhood Treasurer. Her cottage, where many of us have gathered over the years for holiday meals, was heavily damaged in the storm. All of her possessions sat outside of her home in a wet heap (they were able to save the Sisterhood records, something that was of great concern to her). We were all worried that she would not be able to return to LBI from California where she spends her winters. Rosie made it clear this is her home and that she would, with the help of her family, move into her renovated home in the late Spring. She is busy picking out mattresses and furniture and is excited about en-joying her new home on this island she loves. She is our inspiration.

We know we have a tough road ahead but as it always has, our community will work together to re-build our homes and businesses and once again to enjoy the beauty of our surroundings.

Rose Valentine, Past President of the JCC of LBI

RELIGIOUS SCHOOL MUSINGS

RELIGIOUS SCHOOL FUNDRAISER

The JCC of LBI Religious School is now participating in Labels for Education. Go to www.eLabelsAddUp.com and register. You can enter your Supercard numbers for Shop-Rite, Genuardi’s and Acme. Then select zip code 08008 and choose JCC of LBI Religious School for 100% of your points and we can earn money for our religious school when you purchase participating products. You can also clip Labels for Education and Box Tops and save them to turn in to the JCC Office for addition-al monies for our school.

Help the JCC earn “free” money by purchasing Shop-Rite Scrip from the JCC Office during normal business hours. For every $1,000 of Shop-Rite Scrip the JCC sells, we earn $50. If you shop at Shop-

SHOP-RITE SCRIP

Rite regularly, be sure to stop by the JCC office first and pick yours up today. This is an extremely easy way for the JCC to raise much needed revenue. If every JCC member pur-chased just $250 of Scrip

over the summer, we could raise over $1,200 for the JCC. Just imagine what we could raise if everyone used Shop-Rite scrip for all of their grocery shopping.

The demographics of the country wide Jewish population finally hit the religious School of the JCC of LBI. Although our membership is growing by leaps and bounds, the declining enrollment of our school provided us with the opportunity to look for new and innovative methods of teaching our Jewish youth of southern Ocean County. After years of conver-sation with the Barnegat Reform congregation, Sharey HaYam, we consolidated both their 5 students with our 4 stu-dents to form one group which meets on the Mainland at a church. It appears to be working satisfactorily for this aca-demic year.

Our Confirmation classes have been the mainstay of our enrollment for the past few years. Last year we had 3 confirm-ants and this year we will have 4. This will leave us with only 4 in our Confirmation class and 4 in our lower school.

I have been the Educational Director since 1989 and have witnessed this decreasing enrollment. What are we to do about it? I know that there are unaffiliated families in southern Ocean County because the students tell me about other public school students that celebrate the Jewish holidays. I need help in reaching them. EVERY CHILD DESERVES A JEWISH EDUCATION but how do we reach them? If you have any suggestions or know of a family please let me know by email: [email protected] or by phone 609-709-3160. Lynn Berkowitz, Educational director, Jewish Community Center of LBI.

WE’RE BACK! Although the JCC was relatively untouched by the devastating Hurricane Sandy many of our ven-dors were not so lucky and many of the rental properties are in need of serious repair. But in keeping with the theme of “Jersey Strong” we are looking forward with hope and pride to a great summer. Yes, the two summer JCC Bazaars will be returning to our location on 24th street on Wednesday, July 10 and Wednesday, August 14. Usage of the new building has necessitated a few changes. The most obvious is the reduced outdoor space. The outdoor spaces will be dedicat-ed to the large van vendors with a limited number of 5 x 8 spaces and even fewer 10 x 10 and 15 x 15 spaces. Inside the building we are able to fit many more vendors than in the past. With this ad-ditional indoor space we are hoping to again attract many of the upscale vendors that joined us for the first time last year. The Sisterhood is looking forward to using the new kitchen to its maximum capacity and providing some delicious delicacies for our attendees. We will be hosting the outdoor café with music and entertainment for the young and old.

Needless to say, we will be calling for volunteers from our members to assist in servicing our vendors and guests. More importantly, we want to invite the public to come to shop while visiting our new Home. It is an opportunity for us to “show off” our beautiful new sanctuary, school and facility.

If you want to help just give me a call on my cell phone 609-709-3160.
