Bell Work/ Settler – Catch up after holiday and game. Starter- Video with area of study. Show video of a performance this can be anything. Choose an area of study for example - Vocal exploration or movement. First lesson – Describe – Students must describe as many adjectives and description as they can for this extract.

KWD Inspired text (cannot remember name) In this practical exploration students must read through the text and devise a short extract inspired by this. Students must identify why and how this links to the extract.
4) Practitioner exploration – The teacher will go over the stylistic features of chosen practitioners and discuss how this can be presented practically. Students will then explore varying teacher lead workshops on their chosen practitioners to explore and fully understand the key theatrical practice. Here are some ideas of tasks influenced by Gecko/Berkoff
Heightened movement & Gesture – students must retell the main plot of Romeo and Juliet – they must use no words and focus their performance on gestures, movement, facial expressions and proxemics
Heightened movement & Gesture – retell Simons murder ‘Lord of the Flies’ – as above – this piece should have a darker mood
Cinematic effect (slow motion)– students must create a piece of drama that shows a physical fall from grace – it must have religious undertones – the focus is on showing this in a ‘epic’, cinematic manner.
Creating physical environments – Students will physically create a car – to be performed alongside the ‘Car’ monologue – students will have to work closely as an ensemble
Create a learning resource that covers the key feature of chosen practitioners Students to research context of performance texts Create a presentation on one chosen text and come up with a concept Half class to do presentation on
