2013 OCTOBER FREE We had a fabulous time at the AAA Showmanship and Horsemanship clinic in September thanks to the terrific skills of Holly Hover and Michele Pearson. It was open to all horse lovers, we had Appaloosas, Quarter and Paint horses taking part in the day as well as many spectators auditing the clinic. The afternoon was so informative and the lunch that was served was delicious. It was really neat to see our showmanship exhibitors and riders quickly pick up and demonstrate their new skills. The riders left that afternoon begging for more, so stay tuned to see what we have planned for 2014. part in the day as well as many

spectators auditing the clinic. The

afternoon was so informative and

the lunch that was served was

delicious. It was really neat to see

August is the time of year that

Phoenicians, wish they had air

conditioned facilities and riding

arenas. AAA found a more

affordable solution, we ventured

up North to beautiful Flagstaff,

AZ to enjoy the cool pines and

show horses with our Appaloosa

and All Breed friends.

Competitors from not only

Arizona but New Mexico,

California, Colorado and Nevada

all gathered for a great show and

a great BBQ dinner.

The show was judged by Andrea

Simons and Dave Parlier. The

Atmosphere was relaxed,

random awards were given away

in large quantities and even pink

plastic flamings popped up while

horses quietly grazed on the

fresh grass. The class schedule

allowed plenty of time to catch

up with friends from out of state

and everyone had a wonderful

weekend. - Photos by Shelly

2013 FALL TRAIL RIDE

TRAIL RIDE AT WHITE TANKS

Fall is a wonderful time to saddle up

and hit the trail. With sunny skies

and falling temperatures the chilly

mornings become warm afternoons

and offer a perfect opportunity to

meet up with other Appaloosa

enthusiasts and enjoy the Arizona

desert. Our fall outing this year was

an easy stroll in the White Tank

Mountains which is the largest

regional park in Maricopa County

totalling 30, 000 acres. The

afternoon was a blast and the great

lunch ready at the end of the trail

was a welcome treat! - Photos by
