FOREWORDSI will not present the Air Pack, the famous expansion of Memory 44. This 2D adaptation of the Air Pack is the consequence of several problems:

- The shortage of an extension that is no longer published; although the rules book and scenarios are available in pdf format in the DoW online store.

- The Air Pack contains 8 planes of 5 Nations; Italy and France are excluded, as well as Poland, Romania, Finland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Yugoslavia, which also had national aircraft.

- The figures of the Air Pack do not have a single scale and no manufacturer offers all planes.

- Several players regret the absence of iconic aircraft, starting with the "Stuka" (1).

This finding does, remains to find a reproducible solution, customizable and compatible in size and aesthetics with the existing hardware. The poker chip quickly became the solution as it:

- is easily available, including individually (in store and on the internet).

- can carry 1 plane per side (ex: 1 plane of the Air Pack side face and 1 new airplane side battery).

- is already employed in the Eastern Front extension (political commissar token).

- is easily distinguished on the board and exists in several colors similar to those of the armies of M44 (green, red, yellow, blue, orange, white or gray ...).

- is easy to personalize by pasting a sticker representing the plane of your choice.

This booklet will allow you to fly biplanes and many other aircraft. I know one who has never flown; Some dreams can come true many years later (2).

AIRPACK 2DWelcome in AIRPACK 2D, the 2D adaptation of AirPack, an expansion of Memoir'44.

The Air Pack extension with its model aircraft no longer available, here is a practical alternative, robust and economical. This 2D adaptation takes again the airplanes of Air Pack and proposes 8 new ones. These are 8 planes from the beginning of the war, including the famous "Stuka". However, you can make it yourself and customize your parts. The graphic representation proposed is inspired by the aerial combat game published in Vae Victis: « Le grand Cirque ».

● After moving the plane, roll 2 dice against each unit adjacent to it, friend or foe, ignore the protections of the land.

● A unit symbol, a grenade or a star is a hit on the goal.

● One bomb mat per Air Sortie.

I. AIRPACK CARDSSpecial Action Cards Bomb Carts and Air Ashes have been introduced in the Campaign Book Volume 2.> Carpet of bombNote : This special action has been modified by the addition of "Only one bomb mat per Air Sortie".

● When you first enter an aircraft on the battlefield, it is the plane of the Ace.

● If this aircraft leaves the battlefield because it has not been activated, the next aircraft to come into play will be the Ace again.

● If the Ace is shot down after a failed air test, he will not be able to come back.

PANIC RULES A

●When the panic rule applies, under the conditions specified by the scenario, a unit symbol, a grenade, or a star causes a mandatory setback.

●This result is cumulative with any other effect of the star symbol.
